Queen: Everyone Should Play Their Part In Period Of Uncertainty

By Ben Kerrigan-

The Queen has issued a message to the UK people on the coronavirus outbreak as she stated that the nation is “entering a period of great concern and uncertainty”.

As her majesty, who is currently at Windsor Castle at the Duke Of Edinburgh, acknowledged the huge impact the coronavirus is having life, she said everyone has a “vitally important part to play”. Her  message follows extraordinary advice from the UK government that the public avoid all unnecessary contact and travel and stay away from pubs and theatres in order to drastically cut a potentially high detail.

The queen  said: “Our nation’s history has been forged by people and communities coming together to work as one.” The Queen said:

“We are all being advised to change our normal routines and regular patterns of life for the greater good of the communities we live in and, in particular, to protect the most vulnerable within them.

“At times such as these, I am reminded that our nation’s history has been forged by people and communities coming together to work as one, concentrating our combined efforts with a focus on the common goal.”

She added: “Many of us will need to find new ways of staying in touch with each other and making sure that loved ones are safe. I am certain we are up to that challenge.

“You can be assured that my family and I stand ready to play our part.”

The Queen’s message came after Buckingham Palace last week announced that changes were being made to her diary commitments “as a sensible precaution”. Her announcement comes as the Uk government advised everyone in the UK, particularly the over-70s, to avoid all non-essential contact.
