Thieves  were caught on CCTV stealing £50,000 worth of iPads and phones from Gadgets Solution. Staff at Gadgets Solution opened the store on Monday morning to discover the shop in South Street had been broken into. Waqas Ahmed, director of the shop, told The Eye Of Media.Com that over £50,000 worth of iPads and phones were stolen during the raid.

He said:“They took everything. In the morning I saw the shop’s shutter was broken off and it was lying in the middle of the traffic lights in the street.

“This is the first time something like this has happened in our shop. The criminals took phones which had been handed in for repairs by customers and were ready for collection. Some of the phones had been waiting for 2 -3 weeks but the customers did not have the money yet, so had not come to collect their phones. Many of them have been calling for their phones only to discover about the raid.

Some are angry and shouting, saying we must take responsibility for their phone. I tell them that we are taking responsibility and we will replace their phone. But many are so angry, they ask what about my data my telephone numbers, what is going to happen to that? What can I say to them? Every customer is taking about 15 mins on the phone, it is so stressful. The loss is excessive, we are still listing all the items stolen for police.

In the CCTV footage one of the suspects appears to be wearing a clinical face mask to hide his face. The shop repairs mobile phones and exchanges people’s devices for cash.An East Area Command policeman confirmed a police investigation is ongoing.

He said: “Masked males have entered the shop and taken a number on items. All of their faces were covered.”
