Prince Williams Desperate Call For Stop To Abhorrent Crime Of Illegal Wild Trade

The Duke of Cambridge has called on organisations to help end the “abhorrent crime” of illegal wildlife trade, after an “encouraging” year of seizures and investigations.

Prince William, who hosted a meeting a reception at Buckingham Palace for delegates attending the UK- Affrican Investment Summit, welcomed Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta to St James’s Palace for a meeting of the United for Wildlife Taskforces.

United for Wildlife (UfW) works to combat illegal wildlife trade by bringing together conservation organisations, law enforcement, governments and global corporations.

The duke made a speech to the meeting on Tuesday, the day after he and the Duchess of Cambridge hosted a Buckingham Palace reception for delegates attending the UK-Africa Investment Summit.

United for Wildlife (UfW) works to combat illegal wildlife trade by bringing together conservation organisations, law enforcement, governments and global corporations. His brother, Prince Harry, was initially intended to be part of the occasion until things changed following his decision to step back from royal duties.
