Prince Harry And Meghan Announce Baby’s Name As Archie

By Lucy Caulkett-

The Dutch and  Duchess of Sussex have  today named their baby Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

The announcement came hours  after the  couple gave the world the first glimpse of their ‘magical’ new born baby today. After a long wait for the birth of the new royal baby, the moment to actually see  what the baby looks like finally came. Now, the moment to hear the name which eluded all the bookmakers as we suspected, has arrived.

The royal couple bypassed the opportunity to be name their baby Earl of Dumbarton – one of Harry’s subsidiary titles, or Lord Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. They have instead settled for Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor. That decision is probably the first indication that the royal baby may not be taken along the formal lines of royal obligations, although his royal heritage will always be with him.

Prince Harry earlier said he and his wife will be monitoring the changing process of the baby over the next month. He said:

“Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks we’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows.”Asked how he found parenting, Harry added: “It’s great. Parenting is amazing. It’s only been two and a half days, three days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.”

Speaking from St George’s Hall at Windsor Castle, Meghan,  said: “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy. He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm.” As they both laughed, Harry said: “I don’t know who he gets that from.” Meghan added: “He’s just been the dream so it’s been a special couple of days.
