Piers Morgan’s Honourable Attack At Those celebrating Trump’s Covid-19 Positive Test

Piers Morgan has honourably  attacked Donald Trump critics, who have been rejoicing in the president’s positive coronavirus test.

After it was revealed that Trump and First Lady Melania have both contracted Covid-19, and are now in quarantine, many people celebrated the news on social media, some making it clear they hope the U.S president dies from it.

Trump, at 74, belongs to the high-risk group of those most likely to develop serious complications from the virus.
After the announcement was made, critics of the president’s handling of the pandemic have flooded social media with jokes and memes about the news.

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan, took to his own account to call out the ‘disgusting ecstatic glee’ over Trump’s diagnosis .

Morgan, once a friend of Trump, but now a critic, held up standards of good principles in attacking those wishing the U.S president the worst.

Attacking the haters, Piers fired off: “Interesting to see those who’ve spent the last few years screaming that Trump’s an uncaring, heartless empathy-devoid b*stard now spewing their gleeful joy that he & his wife have a deadly virus. They’re no better than the man they loathe.”

He then said some of the vitriol reminded him of the reaction to Boris Johnson being hospitalised with coronavirus back in April.

“It’s the ecstatic glee I am witnessing that is so distasteful & hypocritical from those who preach about tolerance and kindness. We saw the same when Boris Johnson nearly died. It’s vile,” slammed Piers.

Ironic

One of Trump’s followers then responded: “You can’t deny that it’s ironic that a guy who said it was a hoax and that it would magically disappear has now contracted it. He has also been so lame in dealing with it that the US is in a terrible mess. This is his mess.”

At 74, Trump is in the most at risk group of complications from the virus

Piers replied: “Nobody’s been more critical of Trump over covid than me. But I don’t want him or his wife to die from it. Those who do are despicable.”

He then retweeted a post from one user that read: “Just so we’re clear here: I hope he dies” and branded it “disgusting”.

News of Trump’s Covid-19 positive test could have huge implications for the U.S elections in a month’s time. The worse case scenario could see the virus kill him, but that is an undeniably evil wish for anyone to have on their worst enemies.

British prime minister himself was hit with coronavirus earlier this year and had to go to hospital where he eventually recovered from it.
