NSA Website Hacked And Shut Down for 18 hours.

The National Security agency (NSA) was hacked and  shut down for over 18 hours,  after the ‘Shadow Brokers Hacking Collective‘, announced it had hacked the national security website.

The hacking collective announced that it had obtained government spying and surveillance information From the NSA website. which they intend to sell for 1 m dollars.

One of the files has the words encryption “junk files “, whilst another is encrypted ” the “best files”.

Only the ‘what’s new’ category on the NSA site was operable normally because it was on another server.  Wikileaks are already claiming to own the auction files,  which it plans to publish in due course.

HACKING

The online hacking occurred just after 10 am in the morning yesterday, bringing the site temporarily to its knees whilst the top U.S security site attempted to address the problem.

The hackers are believed to possess advanced levels of  technologically sophisticated skills that surpass the most complex systems generally used today by many organizations.

A ‘no service available’ notice was showing on the site for most of the day, with both internal and external links to the site malfunctioning throughout the time of th e shut down.

The NSA have lots of top secret data locked in private code encryptions, and provides A lot of information about its operations on its site.

They usually target organizations with information they wish to hijack. Some also hack sites to simply disrupt their operations.
Anti hacking security systems exist, but those efficient enough to counteract the actions of all hackers are usually very expensive.

Hackers have been offered hundreds of thousands of dollars by organizations to demonstrate their ability to hack and prevent hacking from rival individuals or organizations.

NSA’s website has returned.to normality with all categories operating normally. It is not the first time the site has been brought down. It came down temporarily last year and in 2013, but was said to have been caused by an internal error on that occasion.
