New zealand And Canadian Radio Stations Drop Michael Jackson Music

Radio stations in New Zealand and Canada have dropped Michael Jackson from their playlists, following new accusations of abuse by the late pop star in the documentary “Leaving Neverland.”
The decision to drop the late star’s music comes after a  two-part film due to be aired in the Uk today, and which has already been aired on HBO on Sunday. The news reveals the fresh stance taking by radio bosses in light of the new documentary that despite the acquittal of Michael Jackson in previous court hearings over the allegations.
This latest documentary has  convinced some radio stations that Jackson may in fact have been a child sex abuser who escaped justice because of his name and wealth. It will go down badly with fans who will remain adamant of his innocence and view this new film as a mother of all conspiracies. Jackson’s most ardent supporters consider  this to be another grand quest for money from Jackson’s abusers. In New Zealand, multiple major radio stations have pulled Jackson’s music from their airwaves, including commercial broadcaster MediaWorks.
Michael Jackson isn’t currently on any MediaWorks Radio stations’ playlists,” according to  a statement. from their spokesperson.”This is a reflection of our audiences and their preferences — it is our job to ensure our radio stations are playing the music people want to hear.”
 NZME will  also not be playing the late pop star’s music. “NZME station playlists change from week to week and right now Michael Jackson does not feature on them,” NZME entertainment director Dean Bucknantold the Newzealand Herald.
A spokesman for Radio NZ, a publicly-funded broadcaster, said it would only play Jackson if it was “part of a news story or to provide color around a commentary piece.”

Safechuck, who  met Jackson in 1987  at the age of  eight , claimed in court filings to have been  molested a year later. He says  Jackson held a secret wedding ceremony with a young Safechuck as his bride.Safechuck alleges the singer gave him a marriage certificate and a wedding band as keepsakes and confirmation of their ‘undying love’. He also says the late king of Pop paid a cheque of over $1m to Safechuck’s father who was a sanitation worker.

He also alleges that Jackson wrote a check for more than $1 million to Safechuck’s father, a sanitation worker. The mega talented  singer allegedly regularly dressed Safe­chuck in clothes identical to his ,and told reporters Safechuck was his cousin.

Safechuck’s attorney alleges that Jackson molested Safechuck more than 100 times.

Robson was a five-year-old dance prodigy in Brisbane, Australia, when he first met Michael Jackson. He testified under oath at Jackson’s 2005 molestation trial in California he was never abused by Jackson. However, in the documentary to be aired today, he claims Jackson warned that they would both end up in jail if details of their sexual engagements ever came out.

CANADIAN STATIONS BAN JACKSONS SONGS

In Canada, three major Montreal-based radio stations have also stopped playing Jackson’s music.
Civil suits brought  against Jackson’s estate following his de were thrown out by a judge in 2017 after ruling that the estate could not be held liable for the singer’s behaviour.
Family members of Jackson’s accusers also appear on the documentary expressing how devastated they are by the experience.  The film is a sad  return to old allegations about the star, but  will force to viewers to decide whether  to believe Jackson’s accusers about a matter  that has already seen the late star once acquitted in court. Viewers will have to arrive at their own conclusions.
