Law Society Names Brightest Solicitors For Its Annual Excellence Awards

By Sammie Jones-

The  Law Society has today  announced the names of the brightest  solicitors from the profession ahead of its 12th annual Excellence Awards. The awards which acknowledges the commitment, enthusiasm and passion of solicitors in serving their clients, and contributing to the brilliance of the legal system, is ticket of approval for all solicitors in the Uk.  What the awards so far fails to do is highlight the extent to which these solicitors have helped their clients succeed in cases, something that should really form part of their assessment.

Categories up for awards include a wider range of legal areas like international legal services,  excellence in diversity and inclusion, excellence in private client practice,  excellence and outstanding achievement in human rights,  excellence in practice management,   junior Lawyer of the year, and much more. Determination and dedication, as well as exceptional contribution to the promotion and advancement of the various areas are essential qualities for all nominees.

LPC graduates , trainee solicitors and solicitors up to five years qualified were some of the eligible nominees that entered the competition.

The awards celebrate the excellence and outstanding achievement in advocacy that individual solicitor advocates make to their practice, client work and the wider community. One interesting category will be the solicitor of the Year Private Practice which rewards  an outstanding contribution made by a solicitor in private practice.  Law Society president Christina Blacklaws, told The Eye Of Media.Com:  ”The award winner of this category is reputed for their extra hard work  in achieving outstanding results for  their firm or clients. It rewards the innovation, perseverance, and all round brilliant contribution for their client or their firm. The woman of the year award is also a very interesting one too.  This category seeks  to recognize a female solicitor who has achieved significant results either in her business or for the benefit of society through her legal skills. This individual will have opened doors historically closed to women and will be inspiring and influencing others to pursue a career in law.

Law Society president Christina Blacklaws said: ‘There are more than 9,000 firms and 140,000 solicitors in England and Wales and to be shortlisted for an Excellence Award is to be recognised as being among the best of the best.

‘All the firms and solicitors who are shortlisted should be congratulated for the work they do day-in day-out to support their clients, many of whom are navigating complex and challenging legal problems. At a time of immense pressure on the justice system, the incredible work being done by solicitors across the country should be applauded
