Kingston Man Guilty Of Installing Camera In Women’s Toilet

By Lucy Caulkett-

A Kingston man has pleaded guilty to Voyeursim after admitting installing a camera in a coffee shop toilet because of a “fetish for watching women urinating” has pleaded guilty to voyeurism.

31 year old Antony Dines, of Shortlands Road, installed the camera in the disabled toilet of the Starbucks near MI5 headquarters in Vauxhall.

The camera was left running without interference for nine months before it was spotted by a customer. The incident shows how mentally depraved some individuals are, and the extent extreme perverts would go to gratify their peculiar levels of lust.
George Crivelli, prosecuting, said: “On November 22 last year a customer was using the toilet inside Starbucks when he looked up at the ceiling and noticed a light shining directly above, upon closer inspection it became clear that he could see a camera, the customer stood on the toilet and touched the device.

He reported this to Starbucks and staff informed police who attended and took the camera in question from the ceiling for forensic analysis.

“A download was done of the video and in film footage it is clear that a gentleman is installing the camera and he has a screwdriver to put the camera in place, the defendant has actually filmed himself installing the camera.”

Pervert Crivelli also hid another camera in a ladies’ toilet on the third floor at his workplace, New Malden Business Centre.
His image was circulated and after his colleagues recognised him and called the police, he was arrested at work on Wednesday, November 22.

Police discovered a rucksack full of women’s underwear at his office, along with small cameras, memory cards, and a screwdriver.
Mr Crivelli said:

“The defendant was interviewed twice by police and admitted to placing the camera in February 2016.

“He placed it and had a coffee whilst waiting for people to use the toilet and admitted he had a fetish for watching women urinating.”

District Judge Karen Hammond bailed Crivelli on the condition that he does not touch any recording devices or attend any public use toilets Dines would likely get a community order when he appears in court to be sentenced in early December.
Dines was bailed under the condition he is not in possession of any recording devices or attends any public-use toilets.

He is due to return to Camberwell Magistrates Court in December. The judge indicated that he would get a community service when he is sentenced next month, but women should also be warned to be wary of this man who obviously has a very odd and twisted mind.
