Jeremy Corbyn Leads There’s May After Impressive Tv Debate

By Ben Kerrigan-

Labour opposition leader, Jeremy Corbyn, is ahead in the polls, after an impressive television debate last night.

Jeremy Corbyn has taken a 17 point lead, according to a YouGov poll conducted by The Evening Standard. The sudden spike in votes that has now placed the veteran politician on course for a spectacular upset was greatly influenced by him. Clear and concise clever answers were given by Corbyn during Tuesday’s s televised debate, in which the prime minister was notably absent.

May sent Home Secretary, Amber Rudd to represent the Tories during the debate. However, Rudd was roundly outclassed by the veteran politician who is making strides in the polls.

IRA

Corbyn has been associated with former IRA rebels and has refused to outrightly condemn the IRA for their reign of terror in the 80’s. However, Corbyn impressed last night and won the hearts of several young voters. May has concentrated her campaign on Brexit and the tough negotiations ahead.

Theresa May will need to diversify her approach and address other areas that interest voters,  she might wake up to a shock upset on June 9th that matches he shock President Donald Trump delivered to the world last year. Polls can be deceptive, as we all know, but they can’t be entirely disregarded because it is the exception rather than the rule that polls get it wrong.
