In a chilling and heart-wrenching video, a 21-year-old Israeli woman Mia Schem can be seen making a desperate plea for help.
The video showcases the harrowing situation that unfolded after Mia was abducted by Hamas terrorists during an attack on an Israeli music festival site. The video, reportedly released by the terrorists themselves, has sent shockwaves through Israel and the international community.
In the video footage, Mia appears to be in distress, receiving medical care for a wound on her arm.
However, what is most poignant is her emotional appeal to be reunited with her family. In a translation from Hebrew by the Jerusalem Post, she is heard saying, “They are taking care of me, giving me medicine, everything is fine.
I only ask that they bring me home as soon as possible to my parents, to my siblings. Get me out of here as soon as possible. Please.”
Mia’s abduction by Hamas, a recognized terrorist organization, has ignited widespread concern and condemnation. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officially confirmed her kidnapping by Hamas and is actively supporting Mia’s family through this ordeal.
The IDF stated, “In the video published by Hamas, they try to portray themselves as humane. However, they are a horrific terrorist organization responsible for the murder and abduction of babies, children, men, women, and the elderly.
At this time, we are deploying all intelligence and operational measures for the return of all hostages—including Mia.”
Mia’s aunt, Galit, confirmed Mia’s identity in the video and expressed relief that Mia is still alive. She said, “She looks hurt and scared – but at least she’s alive.” Mia’s mother, Keren Schem, shared her last conversation with her daughter, which took place just a day before the festival attack. “She called me to say she was going to a party down south,” Keren recalled. “I asked her where, and she said she wasn’t sure.”
However, after the attack, Keren tried repeatedly to reach her daughter but received no response. She later received the devastating news that Mia had been abducted.
