Hope Hicks Elevation To White House Communications Director

Hope Hicks Elevation To White House Communications Director

By Aaron Miller

Hope Hicks, the 28 year old interim white House communications director is to become the communications director of the White House.

Hicks is the fourth person to fill up the position, replacing Scaramucc who was fired after 10 days in July. Hicks served as Trump’s strategic communications director and campaign press secretary, and is said to be one of Trump’s most trusted aides. Once a Ralph Lauren fashion model, Hicks is impressively attractive and is well spoken too. She has a swarve telephone manner, according to one eye of media.com writer who communictaed with her during the Trump campaign in the 2016 U.S elections. Hicks grew up in Greenwich Connecticut and was a teenage model for a Ralph Lauren campaign at the age of 11, which she did with her older sister Mary Grace

University

She attended Greenwich high school and South Methodist University where she majored in English and played Lacrose on a club Lacrose programme . Hicks connection with the Trump family began when she worked as a PR officer for Hiltzik strategies in 2012, working for Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump on her fashion line, then other Trump ventures. In 2014, she joined President Trump’s team full time. She was instrumental in the expansion of Ivanka’s fashion label, the Ivanka Trump collection. Hicks was only 26 when she was selected by President Trump to be his press secretary in January 2015, ahead of the U.S primaries for the elections.  The bubbly woman obliged but once nearly abandoned Trump’s campaign , when some of the negative publicity Trump’scampaign was receiving began to hit the nerve, according to some inside sources.

She eventually rejoined the campaign after much deliberations and has now been promoted to this position. The Trump administration haven’t exaclty had a cosy time with the press, the president often attacking journalists and branding them unsincere, or the carriers of fake news. However, every U.S prsident needs a competent press communications director to handle the official position of the president on different issues when asked. Her attainment of the positionof press communications director  for a U.S president is an incredibe achievement for the atttactive Connecticut girl who will have to keep he rperformace up in this highly testing role.

CREDIBILITY

Trump’s administration appears to be have been under an ongoing trial over his credibility due to the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S elections. Without concrete evidence, the investigation might only stay longer with more searching questions. At the moment , Trump remains on the presidential throne, and each individual who forms a part of his team will be judged on how well they play their roles and how it fits into the overall picture. The American president has a strong following in many parts of America, but his general support and popularity is believed to have been falling sinc ehis rise to presidency. There have been swings in many of those parts over his Stern approach with South Korea, but  some criticism against his bold and confrontational language in relation to North Korea has been expressed. Trump’s supporters believe North Korea need that kind of strong handling , but the White House has adjusted it’s language recently to be more diplomatic whist expressing ”limited tolerance”.

Hicks will be in charge of directing the offficial responses to the press on all public matters, and also propose the way various matters should be handled and presented.
