OO7 acting genius, Roger Moore, lost his battle to cancer. He was 89 years of age , and lived to an old ripe age.

Born in London, Moore was an intelligent grammar school boy, the son of a policeman. He was spotted by director , Brian Desmond Hurst , who paid his fees after spotting his incredible talent.

Moore began as a male model before his big movie break with MGM. His appearance in the 1958 kids television series ‘ Ivanhoe , set the background for a promising career in film.

The charming and handsome movie star then featured in the Western series, Maverick, then crime shows , ‘The Saint and and the persuaders ‘.

GRIPPING

More gripping films were to follow with 7 golden bond films- the lucky number for success. Live and Let Die; The Man With The Golden Gun ; The Spy Who Loved Me; Moonraker , For your eyes Only, Octopussy, and A view to kill.

CHARMING
A womaniser with charming eloquence, Roger Moore was every kids idol for an action man.

His inclination for passionate liaisons with women is not one we want our youngsters to emulate. That said , his brilliant acting contributed to amusing viewing that have some insight into that aspect of many men in real life. He was just so brilliant and enthralling to watch.

COOL

Cool, with a matcho streak for extra ordinary stunts and fighting spirit, he was an actor’s dream.

SMOKING

Moore was often filmed smoking away, unwittingly glamorising the smoking which may have ultimately killed him. He certainly played his part in making the dangerous habit look cool to impressionable young fans. However, he still lived very long.

Smoking is not the only cause if cancer , as many have died of cancer which have never smoked in their lives. Cancer is however chiefly caused by smoking .

KNIGHTED

Bond was eventually knighted by the Queen in 2003 for his humanitarian work for Unicef. His special talent for a role that’s really exclusive to him, he is virtually irreplaceable. Roger Moore was one of those class acts that was just one of a kind.
