Family Of Tragic Shannon Hunt Pay Tribute To Beautiful Mum After Opening Of Inquest

By Charlotte Webster-

The  family of Shannon Hunt has paid tribute to the beautiful mum who died after the car in which she was a passenger crashed into a tree in June.

An inquest which opened into her tragic death heard that the young 24-year-old, who leaves behind a young son, died at the scene around 9.30pm on June 17. The coroner revealed that Shannon was identified by her brother Shane.

The road was closed for several hours after the tragedy. Floral tributes were left at the scene to the popular young mum, who worked at Asda.

After the hearing a family spokesperson said: ”Shannon’s death is still very fresh and painful to us.

“The disbelief and anger at all the yet to be clarified circumstances that led to her untimely demise is still very raw for us.

“It feels unforgiveable that such a young, precious life was taken in a car accident, which we strongly believe was needless and avoidable.

“As your name is listed amongst others, we don’t want her to just be another statistic for car accidents.

“We remember a girl who was full of life, a bright bubbly character and a thoughtful soul.

“We miss her beautiful smile and beautiful laugh.”

Shannon has not been the luckiest  of all, having lost her father in 2006,and her mother over five years ago.

Tributes at the roadside read: “Rest in peace Shan. Be with your mum and dad. Thinking of the family.”

Friends also posted tributes online saying: “Rest in peace Shannon. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel.

You will be so deeply missed baby girl.”

Another tribute read: “Hearing you have grown your angel wings at such a young age is devastating.

“Fly high beautiful. Rest in paradise girl. The memories will always be remembered and you’ll be missed by many.”
