A family member of Mohammed Ali has shockingly attempted to sell the film of the greatest world heavyweight’s funeral for $1m. The desperate and greedy move was made to U.S news and outlets, after the 74 year old.died of septic shock. The film offered for sale was rejected by the would be buyer, who instead told off the family member, and reported the story to the U.K Mirror.
The boxing legend tragically passed away earlier this month at the age of 74 from septic shock and footage filmed at his funeral, allegedly taken by a family member, has been offered to US news outlets.
A source who was offered a chance to buy the tape told the Mirror: “It is disgusting that someone claiming to be member of Ali’s own family could deceive their own flesh and blood. There is so much affection for him and it is not something we would entertain no matter what the price. Those were words of dignity, the quality of which must have been alien to the family member who stopped so low.
“The seller initially tried to conceal their identity but when asked how the footage was obtained we were told how they were a member of the family. It shows Ali being lowered into the ground and his family in tears. It’s disgusting. Clearly they have no respect.” Mohammed Ali was a great boxer and personality of his era, but clearly left behind alot of struggling family members. They have come out from the wood works, some with concerning frustrations at being cut out from his life; others out of greed and desperation.
One of his former lovers recently revealed her plans to sell a sex tape of Ali with his boys and up to 12 stunning girls. She claimed he fathered a daughter to her but had been cut out of his life by one of his wives after Ali’s condition of Parkinson’s got worse. In her bitterness, she found something she could exploit. Mohamed Ali jnr, is also working on a book about his life, telling how the son of the great Ali lives in poverty, despiting being the true biological son of the superstar world boxing champ. He also points to obstruction coming from one of Ali’s wives , in what seems to show the multiplicity of Ali’s wives to have been a source of a few bitter disputes in his family.
Rather than give him the biggest honour he deserves, it seems his death is being seen as a merchandise for self gain. The greatest sportsman of his generation was miles above his family and offspring in ambition and talent, and accomplishment that it would seem that his death provided the only hope many of them have from escaping the shackles of poverty. They will have to wait for his will to reveal the fullness of what he wanted to allocate to whom out of his huge fortune. They can’t wait, and the shocking attempt of his family member to sell film of Mohammed Ali’s funeral is rotten. The only way they will get any amount close to $1m, is if Ali himself instructed that in a will. Ali’ frequently updated details of his wishes for his funeral under the support and supervision of a select few, many believe includes one of his 4 wives. She will most likely have had an influence o what was included and excluded in the will. As Ali’s faculties were deteriorating fast and irreversibly, he could never have been expected to always be in full control of his wishes. Or could he? This may just be the beginning of a long line of dodgy attempts for Ali’s fortune.
