Essex Teenager Admits 12 Burglaries And 7 Car Thefts

By James Simons-

An essex 16-year-old, from Laindon appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court charged with burglary offences in Vange, Basildon, Billericay and Leigh.

The serial offender admitted a range of burglary offences between October and November 2016.burgling a house in Southwell Road, Benfleet, between October 18 and 21, a home in Dedham Road, Billericay, between November 6 and 9 and a house in Oldwyk, Vange, on November 11. He also admitted burgling four homes in Picketts Avenue, Briarwood Drive and Kingswood Chase, Leigh, which all happened in one weekend between November 18 and 20. Altogether, he is charged with 12 burglaries and 7 car thefts.

The tear away Essex teenager is alleged to have stolen two Mini Coopers, a Ford Focus, a Seat Leon, an Audi A6, a BMW X5 and a Mercedes during his burglary spree. Most of the cars were stolen from the drive ways of homes he had broken into. The boys name has been withheld for legal reasons. In what appears to be a career of crime, the energy and determination used to carry out these offences reflect misdirected energy that could have been put to use in something legitimate. The sheer number of burglaries and car thefts show a teen with no morals, desperate to make money through criminal means, Clearly, legitimate means are out of the question for this teenager because the world simply offers him nothing as far as he is concerned.

No concern is shown for the families of those being robbed, or whose cars have been stolen. An individual like this is practised in rebelling against authority and having what they want at all cost. Like many other teenage criminals, he obviously was no bright pupil in school, and did things his way at home and in school, Why else would he turn out being such a menace to society? Peer pressure is often an influential factor, but the choice of being acquainted with bad influence often comes from one being a bad influence themselves.

Essex teenagers are generally not as roudy or dangerous as many teenagers from London, but that’s comparing like for like amongst criminals. Essex teenagers have many terrible individuals who a complete nuisance to society and who often begin their truancy in school and at home before graduating to higher level crimes once they find the right people to fuel their rebellious proclivities.Turf wars and stabbings are common in many parts of essex, but less gun shootings in the form of executions take place among Essex teenagers. Many sound Essex teenagers exist too, but the bad ones are an absolute nightmare. This 16 year old will be sentenced on February 20, and will most likely be doing a jail sentence.

Det Supt Kevin Baldwin, South local policing area superintendent, said that the boy had been a suspected ringleader of a gang of teenagers thought to be carrying out burglaries across Basildon towards the end of last year.

He said: “He was a prolific burglar and it has been a very difficult case because he was a juvenile and there are restrictions that that puts on us in terms of having him in custody.

“Evidence in terms of witnesses, forensics and CCTV footage also takes time.

“The key was putting teams together who made every effort in finding him.

“He was part of the teenage gang and we are pretty sure he was one of the main people involved.

“It is a great result for us.

“We will be looking at putting a criminal behaviour order on him so we can control his future behaviour by giving him strict conditions to abide by.”

Baldwin dod not specify what those conditions are, but we can be sure they will be very strict ones.
