Former Drug Baron On Probation Jailed For 16 Years Recalled To Prison On Suspicious Grounds

By James Simons

A former drug baron from Cambridgeshire, once jailed following  an eight month covert operation, has been recalled to prison.

Stephen Brown, 62 from Cambridgshire, was recalled on January 21, 2022, but was not at home at the time. This occurred a month after he put in a complaint to the police professional standards about an alleged  corruption he believed is responsible for his son being in prison.

Brown  handed himself to Wisbech police station the next day, but he was told over the phone just outside the entrance of the station  that there was nobody present to attend to him at the time.  Responding to his question as to how that can be if he was wanted,   Brown said he was told that he was told he is not a priority,  and therefore officers expected to effect his recall were not available when he presented himself to answer the recall.

Marcus Brown, 62 of Guyhirn  has a dark past. He was the mastermind of an operation that planned to smuggle a million pounds worth of Class A drugs into Britain via drops from light aircraft.

Brown, who was described by police as having access to  a multi kilo wholesale amounts of drugs, and was “cash rich and actively engaged in the expansion of his criminality”, was said by cops to have travelled widely throughout Europe, the Caribbean and China, in pursuit of his drug trafficking activities. Cops have been on his tail and that of his son ever since.

He says he has now turned a new leaf  and runs a business of his own called Marcusplanthireltd  which includes boat removal , and porter cabin.

However, the 62 year old who has been out of jail since 2017, and who was attending his probation meetings regularly, was suddenly recalled to prison on January 21, for an alleged offence he committed in August 2020, and about which he is yet to be tried in a court hearing this October. The parole board say the former prisoner should not be on the streets., but his family have accused the probation services of corruption.

His distressed family say he has attended his probation appointment every month since December  2020, and attended his last appointment on December 2o, 2021.  He has never been given a warning since he was recalled.

Sophie Talbott, who managed Brown until January when there was a shift in personnel, told The Eye Of Media.Com that she saw no problem with Brown throughout the time she managed him. ”I had no problem with him. He kept all appointments, I don’t know what has gone on with the recall.

Brown who has put in a complaint against the parole board to the Ombudsman on January 18th,  believes he has been deliberately targeted by the parole board because of his complaint.

Most suspicious about the timing of the recall is the fact the ex convict had just made a complaint to the police professional standards , alleging misconduct against the police for the unlawful imprisonment of his son , Aaron Brown.

Brown was jailed in 2005 for wounding with intent, he was released in 2013, then recalled to prison in 2014 after he was attacked in a pub by mobs who wanted to steal an expensive watch he had  He was nearly left for dead, but survived.

After he violated the restriction placed on him not to attend  any pubs in Manchester he was recalled to prison in 2016. Thereafter, the mother of his child, Jessica Myles, her then partner, Michael Wood, and Jennifer’s ex partner, Kade Bagner, were all given Osman warnings- a threat to life notice.

The legitimacy of the threat was never corroborated, and Aaron has been in jail ever since 2016. His father’s fight to get him out of jail is seen to potentially be an underhanded way to punish them for complaining to the Ombudsman about the probation service, and  preventing him from pursuing a legal suit against the police.

Brown provided some documents to this publication to support his daily professional endeavours and show he is a reformed working man.

” This is a stitch up,  Brown said. The parole board are doing this to cripple my income so that I cannot proceed with my legal suit against Manchester Police. There is absolutely no reason for them to call me back for parole when I have committed no offence.

‘I have had no problems with my former probation manager, suddenly as soon as a new probation officer has been come on the scene, I have been recalled.

‘I am not able to  work at the moment because if police pull me over, it will cost me thousands of pounds to get someone to move my van, he said. This is just awful, I’ve been targeted by the cops and the parole board to cover their own backs. My former parole board manager had no problem with me before now. I think they are trying to cripple my income because of  the fact I am legally probing the situation with my son in prison. I admit I have had  a bad past, but I have moved on, kept all my probation appointments and I’m earning a living for my family.

Tiffany Brown, 32 says the situation is increasing her anxiety levels. I can’t sleep at night. I keep thinking the police are going to come through the door mobhanded. My mother can only get an hour’s sleep, she is worried sick about everything. Her son being in jail unjustly is tough for her to cope with, she keeps worrying that anything can happen to him in jail.

His daughter Tiffany said:  he carries 44 ton when he travels all around the country some times Isle of Wight Scotland Liverpool literally any where some times the goods he Carry’s are high in value he Carry’s essential food and on occasions taken Ppe Equipment it’s a long draining job someone times he can earn £1000 a day depends on wot he’s doing containers moving boats which is a specialist job or moving plant machines .

Tiffany ”my dad has been working hard at this job for over 4 years 6 days a week . He is never at home  and works all through out the night he is the main provider financially regarding her private treatment with doctors She has to see a paediatrician and nutritionist. Her health is in general due to the Nhs leaving her suffering . She is also deaf . She has complex needs, she doesn’t talk normally at all.

She also suffers with constant infections. We have had to take out loans to support her treatments. My dad can earn anywhere from £2700 to £5000 a week depending on the job he’s doing that week. Probation knows what job he does, this recall can’t be lawful. They is a hidden motive.
