Donald Tusk has hinted that cancelling Brexit is “the only positive solution” to the crisis facing the British Government.
European Council President Donald Tusk has hinted that the UK should stay in the EU, after the prime minister’s Brexit deal was rejected in parliament.

“If a deal is impossible, and no-one wants no deal, then who will finally have the courage to say what the only positive solution is?”, he tweeted. Tusks words are strong confirmation that the deal the EU bullish president gave the Uk was a deliberately orchestrated bad deal.  In what  was the largest defeat for a sitting government in history, the result confirmed the unacceptability of the deal , and its weak resonance with  the British public. An alarming indication of the weakness of the deal was the fact that 118 of the votes against coming from Prime Minister Theresa May’s own Conservative Party.

The leader of opposition party, Jeremy Corbyn has tabled a motion of no confidence in the government. Corbyn hopes to trigger an election and topple May’s government who he says are incompetent to handle the Brexit crisis.  The real important question is whether Corbyn has a better idea about how to handle the Brexis crisis in a way that is rational. Corbyn’s intelligence cannot be disputed, but the Labour leader is also known for ideologies that are practical. An uncertain future that is disruptive for businessmen  and  corporations faces the market industry

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker warned that time was running out for the UK to strike a deal.

“I urge the United Kingdom to clarify its intentions as soon as possible. Time is almost up,” he said shortly after the result was announced.
“The risk of a disorderly withdrawal of the United Kingdom has increased with this evening’s vote,” he added.

The EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said the UK had to decide on its approach.

“It’s now up to the British government to say what the next stage is,” he said. “The EU will remain united and determined to find a deal.
