Former U.S President Donald Trump To Become Advocate And Activist

By Dominic Taylor.

Former U.S president, Donald Trump is to become an advocate and activist, representatives of his office has said.

The vilified former has now opened an office in Florida to handle his public affairs.

Announcing the news in a written statement,  the office said it will be ‘responsible for managing Trump’s correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities.’

The statement said the office would ‘advance the interests of the United States’ as well as ‘carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism.’

The announcement comes on the same day the House of Representatives delivered to the Senate, an impeachment article, charging Trump with inciting insurrection in a speech to supporters before the deadly attack on the Capitol , three weeks ago.

As an activist, the former president could still have a lot of influence on his support base which has been lessening in force since he left office. The former president sure had his way of uniting both extremists and patriotic supporters in a way that saw them go to extreme lengths to support him. Those groups have not faded away , they may  await fuel from the man they looked up to as their political hero.

Trump’s influence will weaken further if the impeachment articles against him leads to a conviction that bars him from ever holding office again.

Trump snubbed Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony last week where he became the new U.S President.

Joe Biden has drawn a line of Trump era and signed a series of executive orders that included re-joining the Paris Agreement, the forcing of mask wearing and the abolishment of the so-called ‘Muslim travel ban.’ London townhouse.

His niece, Mary Trump, who branded the former President “the world’s most dangerous man” who is incapable of feeling “affection and intimacy” is considering changing her surname to distance herself from Trump.

There has been expressed concern that Trumpism would continue during the era of Joe Biden because of the influence Donald Trump  had on the Republican party. How much of that influence remains after the second impeachment of the president is unclear, but the former president’s usual alliances are not as close anymore.
