Crack smoker Who Stole £10 and Mobile Phone from Punter Exposed

By James Simons-

We today expose the crack using thief who stole the mobile phone and £10 from an addict a few weeks ago.

This crack addict was unlucky to bump into a girl from whom he took £10 and a mobile phone two weeks ago. The pictured  man known as Ben was given £10 by a girl who hoped he would use it to buy her some crack cocaine, but who instead took her phone and money and ran off.

The drama unfolded as the eye of media.com spent its first research evening on our drug project observing the lifestyle of crack addicts under a pre arranged agreement with them that includes an advisory role to aid their life. Our arrangement was put together following a random chat with local drug addicts  in the area in light of the desirable incentives we presented.

Our evening began with a brief chat and introduction to four individuals at the property, as one of them unilaterally reversed our initial agreement to freely take pictures. ”You a’int taking no pictures of me”, one girl said emphatically, as she made clear that she was not part of the agreement. However, she was willing to have a chat about her habit and how she could be of assistance to our research.

Her name is Sharon and she told of a tough upbringing without her father, as he split up with her mother when she was just 3 years of age. Now, 31, she admits her life revolves around crack cocaine, a habit that costs her about £300 a week, leaving her without on some days when she has to ‘pense’ other crack mates who can afford a more consistent supply.

”It’s a shit life, she states, but you get used to it. You are always chasing the first high. It’s a vicious cycle, and if I could turn the clock back I would never have started, she confesses. But here I am, given doggy deals regularly these days, taken for a mug We had barely gone far in our conversation, when a young ,man in his late twenties joined the busy house at the request of one of Sharon’s friends, Linda. Linda is a full time crack smoker-  she hustles for it round the clock, and stops at nothing to get it.

It so happened that Ben was given £10 to buy some crack, and was given Sharon’s phone to call the dealer. However, he just disappeared on his bike with both the money and the mobile phone, and never came back. This type of sly robbery is common in drug circles. We watched as poor Sharon repeatedly asked Ben ”why did you do it”? ”I was really clocking that day and gave you my last £10, why did you do it?

No reply was forthcoming, but Ben was here to buy some crack to pipe with Sharon’s mate and incidentally, Sharon. Sharon’s friend collected the £50 from Ben to purchase the crack. Ben and Sharon accompanied her to the door, but I spotted Sharon slip a sharp but small kitchen knife down the side of her trouser pocket. As they returned, Sharon seized the £50 worth of crack and told Ben ”you a’int getting none of this”.

Ben became hysterical, holding Angela to account for the £50. ”You took her phone, and she lost all her numbers”, Angela stated. The situation was so classic, it would have been worth filming, but Sharon objected. We instead took a picture of Ben, who asked ”why did you take that picture”? Because you are going to be online as part of this research we are doing”, came the reply. You can’t be stealing people’s phones after taking their money from them. ”You acted as a bully, and now you will be exposed”.

I watched as he pleaded for some crack, to no avail. Sharon showed some pity and gave him a tiny bit, before adding ”that’s all your getting”. An hour later, 31 year old Dave Conney  admitted he had blown £250 in one night on crack. What? And this is his disability allowance money, all gone in a day! Angela is bad influence he said. I’ll never spend this much again in one day. It’s stupid, he admitted.

On disability allowance, he doesn’t need to show efforts in finding work. He admits he grew up without his father, and lacked guidance is growing up. It was still his choice to go down the crack route which now competes with other things in need of his attention
