Christmas Fear Gripping Many Londoner”s As Festive period Beckons

By Sammie Jones--

A Christmas fear of high spending is gripping many Londoners who know the spending month is at the doors.

Londoners like to live large and spend lots, but the cost of living in London is higher on average than most of the UK. The average one bedroom flat in the cheapest part of London these days cost £800 a month to rent, and a home owner will be paying roughly that amount for a not so expensive place in London.

That’s keeping it cheap because in most parts of London, you will be looking upwards of £900 and even £1,000 to rent a one bedroom flat on your own. Bills are a separate entity of their own and spending money varies with the standard of living of each Londoner who wants to enjoy the exciting and diverse city of London. Christmas is a time when Londoners are out to have a good time by drinking, eating, shopping and living large. Pockets have to be fairly deep to enjoy London, we don’t count the cost of your motor insurance or petrol expenses. Londoners have the self imposed duty of ensuring their stability of their finances, especially as the Christmas period puts more pressure on our bank accounts.

With Brexit and the uncertainties that come with it, Londoners have been reviewing their spending patterns and their earning power. The exchange rate has moved up and down in the past year as the adaptive British people danced to the tune. During the festive period, Londoners have fun by going out to various bars and eating in plush restaurants where they can take a deep breath whilst reflecting on the past year gone. The need to buy Christmas presents for our loved one’s during the festive period has always been an inescapable reality for any Londoner who is somebody. Your partners must be given worthy gifts as must your siblings, children, or parents, as the case may be. Those who break this celebratory practise will not enjoy Christmas as much, but the pressure to deliver can be daunting on those who simply don’t have the money.

At least you must have some money, for London will not tolerate those who exist with empty pockets, or who are reliant on weak and insufficient state benefits. This is why gangs fight like animals and kill their fellow human like they are killing animal life. The overwhelming need to be able to afford a comfortable life has led many to jealousy, despise, and then murder. Those alive on the last month of every year have so much to celebrate that wine, parties, and nice clothes seem to beautifully symbolise. Any hint that the funds to make December a fulfilling and festive month is an uncomfortable one. Many Londoners struggling to earn a high living are living in fear of the Christmas month, especially those who know they will not be able to afford to give nice presents to their children or family members.
