British Transport Police (BTP) have taken a significant step in their investigation into an alleged sexual assault on a train bound for Essex. Detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to, believing he may hold vital information pertinent to the case.

The incident, reported to have occurred on Monday, March 4, involved a man who claims to have been sexually assaulted while traveling from London Liverpool Street to Colchester at approximately 7:30 PM.

According to the victim, he woke up to find another man next to him, engaging him in the sexual assault without his permission.

Now cops are launching a nation wide hunt to nail the big time pervert before he strikes again.

The released CCTV image depicts a bald man wearing a jacket and a distinctive football shirt, bearing resemblance to the blue and red-striped kit of the fictional team AFC Richmond, featured in the popular Apple TV show “Ted Lasso.”

Detectives urge anyone who recognizes the individual in the image or possesses information relevant to the investigation to come forward. The public is encouraged to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 325 of March 5. Alternatively, individuals can reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
