BRITISH ARMY MUST CHANGE ITS HEAVY DRINKING CULTURE

BY BEN KERRINGHAM

The British army must change its over sexualized heavy drinking culture, the head of army has warned.

Gen. Nick Carter delivered his key note speech to Mp’s at the commons, following a spate of complaints about heavy drinking and abuse at one of Britain’s army barracks.

It follows the Death of female soldier, Cheryl James, who was instructed to have sex with a fellow soldier. She was found dead with gun shot wounds to her leg and body.

The British army is notorious for abuses of a large scale over the years, ranging from physical abuse to sexual abuse.

A number of soldiers have been publicly
commended for their services to the British army. However, the disgraceful  atrocities committed by members of the British army are deeply worrying and
questions the standard if ethics there.

The army is supposed to be made up of disciplined individuals committed to service for the country. Reports of heavy drinking in the army have been about for years, but the evil deeds of manipulation and abuse that have led to deaths of other soldiers is unforgivable.

Some of these soldiers are criminal thugs in uniform who abuse their position and persist with impunity. Public enquiries into sexual abuses and deaths have sadly been a rarity. The heavy drinking culture in the British Army is deplorable, and late in any proposed redress.
