Assad’s Tyrannic Use Of Gassing Must Be Confronted

By James Simons-

President Assad’s tyrannic and merciless attack on Syrian children calls for a special state of emergency.

The Sarin nerve gas believed to have killed more than 100 civilians including 11 children has sparked Greta concerns worldwide.
Theresa May said she was appalled by reports of a chemical weapon attack by the Syrian regime. Health chief Mounzer Khalid said ” this morning at 6.30 a.m, warplanes targeted Khan Sheikhun with gasses believed to be sarin and chlorine.”

SAFE HAVEN

A previous shelter that acted as a safe haven for a million refugees was bombed by warplanes, said to be Syrian.

Assad’s denial of responsibility does not appear genuine, a Syrian spokesperson said ” we deny completely the use of any chemical or toxic material in Khan Sheikhun”.

They shouldn’t be denying anything, a completely innocent party should naturally insist that the reports of a gas attack by them were wrong.

Whatever the language barriers, the concept of denial is the same worldwide. The tone of response from Assad’s representatives was too defensive, highlighting a tendency to deny the very obvious.

OVERWHELMED

British doctor Shajul Islam said the hospital was ” overwhelmed by patients that have been hit by some sort of chemical”.

Islam, a volunteer at the Syrian hospital, described it as ” phospo – organic”, indicating the presence of the deadly sarin chemical which instantly halts breathing, killing it’s victim within ten minutes.

MASS DESTRUCTION

Assad is not meant to have any weapons of mass destruction, and sarin is a chemical weapon of mass destruction banned by the Chemical weapons convention of 1993.

DECISIVE

Some decisive action needs to be taken against Assad’s regime for the scale of these atrocities.

The use of chemical weapons in this fashion against his own people will be a sheer show of no regard for human life if this horrific mass attack was indeed ordered by Assad.

In war crimes investigators have begun probing the deadly chemical attack, it’s worst I’m four years. Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson , said he was ” horrified by reports of an attack near Idlib In Syria “.

Johnson proceeded to say the attack bears ” all the hallmarks of a regime that have repeatedly used chemical weapons”.

SUPPORT

Johnson vowed to “support the work of the organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons ” and said he would walk closely with them.as they seek to investigate this incidence”.
