Aspiring Deputy Speaker Says There Is Drugs Problem In Parliament

By Ben Kerrigan-

A hopeful for the post of deputy Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, has  categorically said there  is a drugs problem in Parliament. As  interested aspirants queued up for the post of speaker to the House of Commons to replace  current speaker, John Bercow, Hoyle wasted no time in highlighting a shocking culture of drugs in parliament, among those who are responsible for running our country.

When questioned  whether alcohol was a problem  at Westminster, Sir Lindsay said: “It’s not just drink we’ve got to catch out, there is a drug problem, and I genuinely believe that counselling and real support should be available for all staff and members.”

TEMPTED

“I don’t believe that somebody who walks in here may not be tempted into drugs, and what I’m saying is that we should have health and wellbeing in place for drink and drug counselling and real support for anybody.” The comments are shocking and leads to further interest to identify which Mps have a drug problem, and what drugs in particular.

Hoyle who served as a member of the Trade and Industry Committee for 12 years  from 1998 to 2010, and also as a member of the European Scrutiny Committee from 2005 to 2010. Labour Chorley Borough Councillor for the Adlington ward, defeating the sitting Conservative. He would go on to be re-elected 4 times, and served as Deputy Leader from 1994 to 1997.

A colleague of mr.Hoyle who said he wasn’t authourised to speak on record told The Eye Of Media.Com: that he is ”an excellent candidate” for the position of Speaker of the House. Others have described him as a principle man with mature and respectable qualities- a far cry from some of the negative adjectives used to describe mr. Bercow who formally steps down in November.

The other two deputy speakers, Dame Rosie Winterton and Dame Eleanor Laing – are taking part in the contest to replace Mr Bercow.
