Big Daddy Gaming has secured a supplier licence from the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), paving the way for the slot studio to expand into one of Europe’s largest regulated gambling markets as it prepares for its next phase of growth.

The approval marks a significant milestone for the studio as it approaches the end of its first year of operations, adding the UK to its existing licensed markets of Sweden and Malta. The latest licence strengthens Big Daddy Gaming’s position in regulated markets as it looks to expand its operator partnerships and broaden the reach of its games portfolio.

Commenting on the development, CEO Erland Hellström said the UKGC approval represented an important step in the company’s expansion strategy and reflected the progress made during its first year in a competitive marketplace.

“Securing our UKGC licence is a significant milestone for Big Daddy Gaming as we round off our first year of operations,” Hellström said. “We have made strong progress in a highly competitive marketplace, and this approval marks another important step in expanding our presence across key regulated markets.”

Hellström also highlighted the commercial pressures facing operators, pointing to the importance of balancing profitability with player experience. He said Big Daddy Gaming’s flexible commercial model was designed to help operators navigate these challenges while supporting their business objectives.

“We know operators are under increasing pressure to protect margins, which makes the balance between commercial performance and player experience more important than ever,” he said. “Our flexible commercial model is designed to help operators navigate these challenges, and with further titles in the works and major partnerships on the horizon, we are excited about what lies ahead.”

Alongside its geographical expansion, Big Daddy Gaming is preparing to build on the initial rollout of its games portfolio earlier this year. The studio has several titles in development for release over the coming months, including Xmas Cash Ladder, Outback Aussies, Pigeon Blitz and Cooped Up. The planned releases are expected to further expand its offering as the company seeks to establish a stronger presence among operators in its target markets.

One of the studio’s upcoming releases, Los Luchadores, will introduce Big Daddy Gaming’s first Double Gamble Feature, alongside a Buy Extra Spins option. The features mark a further development in the studio’s product offering as it continues to introduce new mechanics and expand its catalogue.

With licences in the UK, Sweden and Malta, a growing pipeline of games and further partnerships anticipated, Big Daddy Gaming is positioning itself for its next stage of development. The UKGC approval provides a key regulatory step in that strategy, while the studio’s upcoming releases and commercial approach will form part of its efforts to build momentum in an increasingly competitive market.
