Andrew Tate Served With Civil Proceedings At His Romanian Home

Andrew Tate, a prominent figure on social media, has been served with civil proceedings papers at his residence in Romania. These legal actions stem from accusations of rape and sexual assault made against him by four British women.

The allegations, brought forth by the women through their legal representatives at McCue Jury and Partners, are now set to be addressed in the UK’s high court.

This move comes after the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) opted not to pursue criminal charges against Tate in 2019.

According to the law firm, the women claim that Tate, self-described as a “misogynist influencer,” subjected them to rape and physical assault, leading to injuries for which they seek damages.

The history of these allegations dates back to 2014-15 when three of the accusers reported the incidents to the UK police. However, despite a thorough investigation lasting four years, the CPS chose not to prosecute Tate.

Despite subsequent appeals and additional evidence, the CPS declined to revisit its decision, prompting the women to pursue civil action as their final recourse for justice.

Expressing gratitude for the support they’ve received, the women have been seeking donations through crowdfunding to facilitate the legal proceedings.

This development coincides with another legal challenge facing Tate and his brother Tristan Tate in Romania. Last month, a Romanian court ruled that the brothers would stand trial in a case related to human trafficking.

The charges include accusations of rape and involvement in a criminal enterprise aimed at exploiting women sexually.

The Tates, along with two Romanian women, were arrested near Bucharest in December 2022. Despite vehemently denying the allegations, they are set to face trial in Romania before potential extradition to the UK.

Bedfordshire police have also secured a European arrest warrant for the Tate brothers in connection with separate allegations of rape and human trafficking in the UK.

The authorities are collaborating with Romanian counterparts as part of this ongoing investigation.

In response to the accusations, a representative for the Tate brothers reiterated their denial of all charges and affirmed their commitment to challenging the allegations.
