The USA Boxing has introduced a ‘Transgender Policy’ in its rulebook, allowing male boxers who transition to fight in the female category starting from 2024.

Boxers transitioning from male to female must demonstrate that their total testosterone level in serum remains below 5 nmol/L for at least 48 months before their first competition.
This level must be maintained throughout the period of desired eligibility to compete in the female category.
Conversely, male boxers must show that their total testosterone level in serum has been above 10 nmol/L for at least 48 months before their first competition and maintain this level through the period of eligibility.
