Harry And Meghan Stunned And Appalled Over ”Cruel” Frogmote Cottage Eviction

Harry and Meghan are reportedly ‘stunned’, and two other royals ‘appalled’ over  their eviction from the Frogmore Cottage ‘eviction’ at the beginning of March.

The Cottage was gifted to the couple by the late Queen Elizabeth II, but relations between them and the royal family has become so sour, they are being punished severely for the series of public criticisms they have levied against the royal family in the form of a book, and the Netflix docuseries which came a year after the initial bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The couple have been left “stunned” and two other royals are “appalled” , after the couple were evicted” from Frogmore Cottage, a royal biographer has said.

King Charles decided to evict Harry and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage in Windsor – and offered the couple’s only home in the UK to Prince Andrew, according to reports

Buckingham Palace issued an eviction notice to the couple just days after the release of Harry’s tell-all memoir, Spare, Omid Scobie, one of the authors behind Harry and Meghan’s biography, revealed.

The book sparked controversy after Prince Harry went into great detail about long standing  family issues, including he and his brother’s disapproval of their father, the then Prince Charles, marrying Camilla.

Harry made a series of revelations in the book, including details on royal family feuds, how he lost his virginity and his experience taking drugs.

The Sussexes were told the property was needed for “someone else” as relations between them and the rest of the royals remain at “an all-time low”, Mr Scobie claimed.

Prince Andrew attracted much criticism after he was accused of  sexually exploiting an underaged girl of 17 under U.S law. He settled a legal suit of $20m to avoid a full blown case that could embarrass the wuene the same year as her

Ms Giuffre was suing the late Queen’s second son for sexual abuse, alleging that Andrew had sex with her when she was 17 and had been trafficked by his friend, the billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The settlement was believed to include a “substantial donation to Ms Giuffre’s charity in support of victims’ rights”.

As a result of the entire saga, Prince Andrew was insulted during the Queen’s procession by a young man of 22 years of age, who shouted out ”Prince Andrew you are a sick old man’. He was arrested and charged with breach of the peace, but the case was eventually dropped by the Crown, the CPS saying it had taking other considerations into account in deciding to drop the case.

When asked by The Eye Of Media.Com whether the dropped charge was an admission the made an error, the CPS in Scotland insisted other considerations were taken into account in arriving at the decision.

The decision to offer the property taken from the Sussexes to prince Andrew, will be seen as a kick in the teeth by the Sussexes, who have annoyed the monarchy with Prince Harry’s bombshell book, ‘Spare’, their Netflix docuseries, and the interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The Sussexes are now drawing up plans to ship their remaining belongings to the US while Prince Andrew has been offered the property, it is understood.

Described by biographer Omid Scobie as a ”cruel punishment” in a piece for Yahoo News, Scobie said they had been given until after the Coronation in summer to remove their belongings after initially being told they would have just two weeks.

He quoted a friend of the couple as saying: “It all feels very final and like a cruel punishment. It’s like [the family] want to cut them out of the picture for good.”

Scobie also made reference to the fact the Sussexes have has royal security protection withdrawn from the couple, even though they travel with their own private security team, ”Royal protection officers provide a level of security – including access to essential intelligence information – that is already deemed necessary for other members of the Royal Family.

Scobie points out that ”alongside the unprecedented sovereign grant reimbursement was also a large sum paid by the couple to the Crown Estate covering the rent on the property for the foreseeable future”.

He adds that all this comes ”at a time when communication between Harry and his family has reached an all-time low, further details provided to the couple by the institution have been scant”. All that in reality being a reaction to the embarrassment the couple have brought to the royal family with their many negative  revelations about the institution.

Free speech affords all citizens in the Uk, and also the U.S, the right to express their views, but free speech comes with potential consequences. The question is which, out of the free speech and the consequences is actually fair.

Harry and Meghan felt ill treated by the monarchy, representatives of the latter say Meghan was very unpleasant and troublesome and resisted all efforts they made to get on with her. A comprehensive unbiased evaluation of the big fall out has never properly been undertaken by any organisation.

The  latest news comes after it was reported that Andrew was also being “evicted” from his from 30-room royal mansion.

Andrew has lived in the Royal Lodge, which has a 98-acre estate, since 2003, when he secured a 75-year lease.

The disgraced royal  is said to be against the move but Harry and Meghan will be forced to leave the cottage – regardless of whether he moves in or not.

“This surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK,” a royal insider told the Sun.

“Andrew is resisting the idea of moving into Frogmore Cottage after he was offered it last week.

“But it shows Harry and Meghan are powerless to stop the eviction.”

Wedding Present

The Sussexes were given use of the five-bedroom property by the Queen as a wedding present in 2018 and ordered £2.4million worth of renovations before later moving in the following April.

The withdrawal in one sense undermines the unconditional present given to the couple, but is also a punitive measure from the palace who are livid with their public revelations, and what they perceive as hostilities against the monarchy.

Prince Harry and Meghan, on the other hand, feel they are telling their story to inform the world how they have been treated.

Their many critics believe they have crossed the line, and serve whatever they get.

In the meantime, the couple has accepted an invitation to King Charles’s coronation in May.

When they stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to the US, Harry and Meghan paid back the cost of the renovations to the taxpayer and leased Frogmore covering several years.

Harry and Meghan most recently renewed their lease on the property in May 2022, after Princess Eugenie and her partner left the estate.

The development is likely to further  the already very strained relations in the royal family.

Psychologists believe the Sussexes will comeback fighting with a new bombshell of some kind, in this ongoing battle between them, the royals, and the media.

What is desperately needed is timely and efficient intervention. Some urgent rescue from more disaster is necessary.

This publication and others should step up to the plate.
