Tyson Fury has vowed to destroy Olegsander Usyk for their heavyweight unification title fight, yet to be officially scheduled.
Eddie Hearns had originally suggested the fight could take place in December, but it now appears to be heading for early 2023. Both men are unbeaten- Fury in 33 fights,(23 KOs) and Usyk in 20 fights,(13 Kos).
Usyk, who retained his WBO, WBA and IBF titles with a close split decision rematch victory over Anthony Joshua is enjoys the noteworthy credentials of also unifying the cruiserweight division.

Fury said: “Usyk, middleweight, you say you want the WBC, well it’s held by the Gypsy King, and it’s held tightly. Grasped tight.”All roads lead to a 7ft behemoth that will absolutely destroy you, middleweight. You will get smashed to bits.

Usyk has dismissed Fury’s braggadocious comments as just a game.
He told Sky Sports via an interpreter: “He wants to fight against me. He wants people to talk about him.
“He hasn’t retired yet, it’s just a game – ‘I’m leaving boxing’, ‘I’m coming back’. He still wants to earn money.”All the fanciful comments against me, he probably thinks it will touch me. But it won’t

Tyson Fury is expected to be the favourite to beat Usyk and retain the titles, but Usyk’s skill and toughness means he could potentially pull off a surprise, but Fury’s size allied to his mobility and skills makes it difficult for most pundits to see the Ukranian defeating the gypsy King.
