However, Samantha Markle, 57, discredited claims by unknown sources that Meghan Markle has already reached out to her father’s team over his illness.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain(GMB),Samantha(revealed)  revealed that Mr Markle is unable to speak but is well enough to text if Meghan got in contact, declaring: ‘She’s always had his phone number, it hasn’t changed’.

There is no love lust between Meghan Markle and her half sibling, who has lodged a defamation suit against the Duchess Of Sussex, and her interference in  Meghan Markle’s plans to  reach out to her sick father  amid the fractured relationship between the pair is helpful.

Mr. Markle has been in hospital after suffering a stroke, and is apparently unable to speak.

The former Hollywood lighting director has not spoken to Meghan since the eve of her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, who has never met his father-in-law. Thomas had been planning to fly to the UK this week to celebrate next weekend’s Platinum Jubilee, but the stroke a week ago, caused by a blood clot on the right side of Mr Markle’s brain, has scuppered the trip.

Samantha Markle said : “I heard rumours that she was trying to reach out to my dad’s camp, but my brother and I are my dad’s camp and his phone number has never changed, his address has never changed. Even though he can’t speak, his language comprehension is perfect. She could text him, she could contact him and he can text back.” She added: “Those rumours are not true, she has not reached out.

‘Those rumours are not true, she [Meghan] has not reached out’, but she insisted ‘the door is wide open’ for her half-sister to privately re-connect with him.

She said: ‘He loves all of us and he’s been bashed in the media for always speaking out to extend an olive branch to reach out to her (Meghan).

‘He is her father so he has a right to reach out to her. He has been very honest and open in those feelings and the door is wide open. She’s always had his phone number, it hasn’t changed, and his address, so any suggestion that she doesn’t know how to get hold of him and that she wanted to be private is somewhat ridiculous on the grounds that if you want to reach out to your father privately you know how to do it’.Thomas Markle, Duchess of Sussex's father, rushed to hospital after stroke | World News | Sky News

Co-host Charlotte proceeded to ask Samantha, who hasn’t spoken to Meghan since 2016, how her dad is and she said: “I think he feels blessed to be alive. He’s doing well, he can’t speak but his language comprehension is perfect. He understands, he can text and communicate that way. He’s feeling a bit stronger every day. All things considered, after two heart attacks, a pandemic and now this, he is rebounding remarkably well and we’re so happy about that.

GMB host Richard Madeley asked why Meghan would want to reach out, given claims he was planning to go to Frogmore Cottage to demand Meghan and Harry come out with their two children.

She said: ‘It sounds like someone has been drinking mercury in the water. I didn’t hear anything about him following anyone around so I don’t believe that’.

Speaking about his Mr. Markle recovery: “Learning to speak again could take six months or a year… he understands the words perfectly, but he has to train his mouth and his tongue to form the words, so [it will take] six months to a year, realistically. It will be tough but he’s very patient, feels very strong about it and has a lot of love and support around him, so I think he’s going to do well.”

At the end of the interview, Richard asked how Samantha would have described her sister before the fallout and she said: “We’re comparing apples to oranges, life changes people. We all said we always loved her and she was great and funny and all of those things, but time changes people. She’s become a completely different person, so it’s almost not appropriate to put things in that light.

The judgement of Good Morning Britain in inviting Samantha Markle to the show has been questioned, given its potential to jeopardise Meghan Markle’s plans to reach out to her father.

Meghan Markle has long been criticised for her poor relationship with her father, which deteriorated ever since he discussed issues about her with the press
