Anthony Joshua Becomes Shareholder In CBD Love Hemp

By Gabriel Princewill-

Established heavyweight world champion, Anthony Joshua, has become a key shareholder in Love Hemp to help produce CBD products for athletes, it has been revealed.

The world heavyweight champion has signed a three-year deal and will collaborate on a licensed range of CBD products for athletes, championing the company’s development in its work to position CBD as an internationally recognized, certified products for athletes.

The revelation will add to Fury’s accusations against the powerful Londoner as being a businessman, while he is a spartan, but Joshua’s appeal ever since he won gold at the 2012 olympic games right through to his world championship achievements has been phenomenal.

Joshua, who has a net worth of $80m, is set to fight Oleksandr Usyk in September in London in a defence of his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles, after which he hopes to unify the heavyweight belts against the winner of Tyson Fury and Deontey Wilder- though Joshua’s hopes Fury to be the man at the opposite corner of the ring when the time comes.

Joshua said: “Love Hemp is a great brand with an amazing vision. The ability of CBD to improve people’s everyday lives is undeniable

“I have a passion for dynamic British businesses, and for wellness, making Love Hemp a perfect brand for me to endorse and become a shareholder in. My work with Love Hemp will allow me to be involved in the company’s aggressive growth strategy as well as developing my own branded wellness focused CBD products.

Cbd stands for cannabidiol, and is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). Whi CBD is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant, and does not by itself  cause a “high.” According to a report from the World Health Organization, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

Scientists say it is effective in treating some of the cruelest childhood epilepsy syndromes, such as Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS), which typically do not respond to anti-seizure medications. Many studies claim CBD was able to reduce the number of seizures, and actually stop them in some cases.

Although CBD is generally considered safe,  some trials have reported side effects including dry mouth, lightheadedness and altered liver enzyme activity.

Joshua has continued to blame Fury’s team for their aborted unified title showdown originally penciled for August, despite the fact all parties were aware of the arbitration process going on between Fury and Wilder’s team over the then disputed rematch clause.
