The White house has objected to preventing the opening of schools despite rising number of deaths in various U.S states.
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany defended Trump’s push to reopen schools, despite concerns about the spread of coronavirus in the classroom.

“And when he says open, he means open and full, kids being able to attend each and every day at their school,” McEnany noted furing her White House briefing.
“The science should not stand in the way of this,” McEnany said, adding moments later, “The science is on our side here. Many schools with leaders who hold cynical views of president Trump’s handing of the coronavirus are sceptical of the decision to reopen schools with the pandemic looking very much alive in the United States which on record has one of the world’s worst Covid-19 infections and death rates.
Trump has in the past defended the rising figures of Covid-19 infections as an expression of increased testing and also pointed to evidence that children are very unlikely to become severely ill from coronavirus to justify their push to reopen schools.He has yet to justify his decision in the light of increasing deaths, but he has has an answer for that.

“It’s a hard thing to talk about,” Davis said. “People’s loved ones are dying. Our funeral homes are out of space.”

Trump would no doubt argue immunity from the laws of Atlanta, lawyers can debate the issue separately.
Trump initially downplayed the seriousness of the pandemic, but has since always insisted that his administration is up to date with developments, but is still a big supporter of protecting the American economy which has taken a huge knock since lockdown measures were imposed across all 50 states.
The president is determined to minimise the disruption to the economy and sees continuous closures if school to be against the interest of that aim.
If schools remain closed, parents will be unable to work and restore the economy. Americans in their millions will stay away from work,no matter the presidents decision. Many millions will also be in favour of living normal lives regardless of the pandemic, and the president is happy to have those millions back to work and the many more who may follow suit.
There will be no shortage of objecting governors, nothing new for Trump, who is ready to face clashes and remind the American people who the army commander of chief is.
Trump has his critics among many state governors, but also has many governors as friends. He will believe he can talk many of them round to his policies and maybe try to force the hands of the others.
