Prime Minister Moved Out Of Intensive Care Back To ward

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved out of intensive care back into the wards. 

Mr Johnson has been receiving treatment for coronavirus at St Thomas’ Hospital in London since Sunday.

Downing Street told reporters that the prime minister  has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery”. His spokesperson said he h received “standard oxygen treatment and continued to improve.

Newly elected Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer also welcomed the “good news”, tweeting: “I hope it is the beginnings of a speedy recovery.”A clap for carers was spread across the UK in the third “Clap for Carers” event, as where people showed their appreciation for NHS staff and other workers on the front line of the pandemic.
