Bookies have suspended all bets on the birth of the royal Baby after a recent surge in bets left them suspicious of a royal secret birth. The suspicion that the new baby is a girl was also expressed by weary bookmakers who feel somebody or a group of people are trying to have them over.
Paddy Power observed a surge in punters betting on the day and date of birth of baby Sussex in the last hour, forcing them to close the book. A Paddy Power spokesman said: “We’ve suspended betting on which day Harry and Meghan’s baby will arrive following a huge increase in wagers this evening which indicate to us that someone knows something – and perhaps the child is already born.
“That, combined with the rumours and speculation has us convinced that the royal arrival has already happened and if the betting is anything to go by, it’s almost certainly a baby girl.” Sources have claimed Meghan will shun an epidural or Cesarean. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle already announced they would be doing things very differently, including first celebrating the birth of their baby before announcing it to the public and introducing the baby to the world.
In April, the Dutch and Dutchess Of Sussex put out a statement saying that they “have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private” and that they “look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family”.The couple also reportedly ruled out the option of using the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, where Kate Middleton delivered all three of her children, and where Princess Diana delivered her two.
DEPARTURE FROM TRADITION
They reportedly said it felt like too much of a “goldfish bowl. The Dutch and Dutchess Of Sussex also said they will be skipping the customary royal tradition of posing for photos with baby on royal steps. This means the public may find out several hours, even possibly a few days after the new baby birth, that the baby has arrived. The departure from historical practise is likely to annoy some observers and other members of the royal family if people conclude she is doing everything differently and disrespecting royal tradition.
Meghan, no doubt has reasons why she is bucking the trend of tradition, but without those reasons being known it could fuel contempt for her in royal circles and even many circles in the public. She has gone through a lot of psychological and mental attack by uncharitable individuals and callous internet trolls, and will do what she thinks is best for her.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle
Bookmaker review website bookmakers.tv also said many bookies have suspended all bets on the little one arriving today, arguing that someone may be holding a piece of information they don’t have.
A spokesperson for bookmakers.tv said: “There has been an aboral number of bets on Meghan giving birth tomorrow, Thursday the 2nd May, forcing bookies to stop taking bets on the market altogether.
“Ever since this morning, the stream of bets led bookies to believe that perhaps the punters, or an inside source, know something more than the industry.”
Who knows, the young royal addition may already be born, but even if celebrating privately, the couple would be expected to at least communicate the news to the media whilds enjoying their quiet family time. It is unlikely the child is already born, but of the bookies instincts are right, we may all be in the dark together. It won’t be long before all is revealed.
