Kylie Minogue has captures her 14th No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart, as “Dancing” rises 2-1 Bilboard reports that The Australian musical icon ties Dave Aude, Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull for 10th place on the list of acts with the most leaders in the chart’s nearly 42-year history.
The original poppy “Dancing” was remixed for clubs by Anton Powers, Illyus & Barrientos and Initial Talk, among others.
The track, from Minogue’s -inspired album Golden, is her first Dance Club Songs entry since fall 2015, when The Dancing” is Minogue’s first No. 1 as a lead act in four years, since “Into the Blue” in April 2014.
Minogue scored her first of 18 other top 10s and 23 chart hits 30 years ago this spring, was in 1988 when “I Should Be So Lucky” reached No. 10 (on June 4, 1988). She earned her second top 10 and first No. 1, “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” 14 years later in 2002. “Dancing” is Minogue’s first No. 1 as a lead act in four years, since “Into the Blue” in April 2014.
Also on the rise is Ariana Grande, whose “No Tears Left to Cry” soars 39-11. It’s only the third track this year to reach No. 11 or higher in as few as two weeks, following Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa’s “One Kiss,” which cruised 34-7 in its second week, and Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey’s “The Middle,” which motored 24-4 in its second frame.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Kylie Minogue has built an army of strong fans over the past four decades. The Australian mega star has has sold world wide records of over 80 million. The lead single to her track ‘fever’, called ‘can’t get you out of my head”, became one of the most successful songs of the 2.000’s, selling over 10 million units. It was considered her signature song. Apart from other successful hits of hers like ”I should be so lucky’ and especially for you”, the superstar has conducted several successful concert world tours.
Minogue was also appointed an order of the British empire in the 2008 New years Honours for her services to music. The Auzzie star, whose love life has been a roller coaster for decades is back in dazzling form to do what she does best, which is to woo audiences.
