Chelmsford Prison Inmates On Spice Pass Out daily

By Eric King-

Chelmsford prison inmates pass out daily on spice because of the growing availability of the psychoactive drug.

An excessive amount of spice and illegal drugs pass through Chelmsford prison and evade the detection of governors there, an ex convict has told the eye of media.com.

And many inmates are tricked to consume spice under the pretence that they are smoking weed. The recently released inmate was meeting the eye of media.com for the second time after being introduced to us. He told the eye of media.com ” many people are bullied into smoking spice by telling them it is weed. Even those who don’t smoke weed are literally pressured into it by the bullies of Chelmsford prison. I remember one prison inmate saying he wasn’t a big smoker of weed and was trying to even give up cigaretets. However, the bully told him ” you are from road blood, you have to get high like us, you can’t just watch. A bit of weed never harmed anyone.

”The guy was relectant to even smoke weed, but now he was being made to smoke spice. Inmates think it is a laugh to see someone buzz on spice without knowing what it is they are smoking. I have seen people foaming, I mean, people pass out at least 3 times a day in Chelmsford prison. It is a daily occurence, and people often need medical treatment. The authorities there cannot control it at all”.

Spice was once a legal substance in the Uk, but has since been made illegal following the hospitalisation of many smokers, and a few deaths that have occured. It beggars belief that a drug like spice is taken in jail.

” Many inmates smoke spice knowing what it is, but continue. I knew of inmates who had passed out a few times, and even come close to a heart attack but continued smoking it. Some said they just loved the whole buzz and uncertainty it creates. I tried it once in there and vowed never to touch it again. That’s me, a tough guy who can handle my sxxx. The ones I feel sorry for are those forced to smoke it without knowing what they are smoking. When they really get high, they become a source of comedy and entertainment for other inmates”.

This is the second time this year that the eye of media.com have heard about a drug epidemic in Chelmsford prison. The level of bullying and access to drugs need to be controlled better by the prison governors. They are failing terriby in doing so. The eye of media.com contacted Chelmsford Prison for comment, and await their response.
