Amazon Release Speedy Air Drones At Expense Of Staff?

By Gavin Mackintosh-

Amazon’s first Air drone gives the giant company clout on similar proportions as a government. However, with the image of its suffering staff only a week ago, many questions lurk in our minds.

Is the stupendous level of wealth displayed here one of the reasons, its staff are not paid comfortably? When huge fortunes go on ambitious projects, we sometimes have to ask who is paying the price for it.

Amazon has released its Air’s first drone delivery to a company’s next door neighbour just 765 yards away, it was revealed today.
The  rich giant company tweeted news that it had made its first drone aircraft delivery, claiming to have dropped off the package just 13 minutes after it was ordered.

Early this week, Amazon were exposed for subjecting their staff to poor living conditions, as they were blasted by critics for the slavery treatment of their workers.

However, in a show of wealth, Amazon, whose founder, Jeff Bezos was invited to the Trump tower to rub shoulders with President -elect Trump, are acting like a government in their own right.
The parcel, containing an Amazon Fire TV box and a bag of popcorn, was flown from Amazon’s drone testing site near Cambridge, across one field to a farmhouse just 765 yards away.

The air launched last week reportedly delivered a package to a customer in Cambridge in just 13 minutes. If the object of this great accomplishment was to ease the speed at which customers could obtain goods and services, it would be worth admirable.

If on the other hand, the scheme is to flaunt the wealth of a company prepared to abandon its staff in appalling conditions, then we must frown at it.

Customer Delivery via Drone

U.S billionaire founder, Jeff Bezos, confirmed the delivery in a tweet earlier in the week and posted a video. The tweet read ‘First-ever AmazonPrimeAir customer delivery via drones is in the books. 13 min – click to delivery.’

Amazon Air promised to deliver packages in 30 minutes or less, confirming its speedy delivery to order. The thought of an electrically powered Amazon drone making its way down an automated track, then rising into the sky with the package is mind blowing.

That thought becomes pitiful when we reflect on the plight of many of Amazon worker’s, who are leading clearly uncomfortable lives, so much that they had to sleep in tents on a motorway. The wide constrast in fortunes is sad to say the least. It is a contradiction of epic proportions.
The video claims that Amazon has started a private trial for two customers in Cambridge, its eventual aim to expand to ‘dozens’ in the local area, and then beyond.

Amazon plan to deliver a new  private trial  delivering packages up to five pounds in weight in 30 minutes or less, with the drones. The scale of the ambition involved is a tiny reflection of how high Amazon’s boss is aiming. Despite not voting for President -elect Trump, he is now a mate of the property mogul and other bilionaires that include the founder of google.

They stinking rich alliance are putting minds together to achieve great things that include cyber security and colonising Mars with the goal of having millions of citizens residing there soon.

Great idea, but the eye of media.com would love to see Jeff Bezos ensure that his staff are properly catered for so that they can at least comfortably travel to work in cars with petrol, or public transport at least, never mind drones. Great ideas and great pockets, should be accompanied with great hearts.
