West Yorkshire Police Release Image Of Murder Suspect Who Killed Mother With Pram Baby

Detectives are searching for  a 25-year-old man from the Oldham area in West Yorkshire as the prime suspect in the  murder of  woman who was stabbed in the presence of her baby.

Suspect Habibur Masum, 25,(pictured) from Oldham near Manchester, is described as an Asian man of slim build with links to Burnley and Chester. The woman was stabbed four or five times in her neck in broad day light in Bradford City Centre on Saturday.

Police have issued CCTV of the murder suspect, Habibur Masum – urging the public to report any sightings of him.

The victim, a 27-year-old woman whose identity has yet to be formally confirmed, was rushed to the hospital following the attack but  fatally succumbed to her injuries.

According to Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson of West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Enquiry Team, Masum and the victim were known to each other, suggesting a possible motive behind the heinous crime.

Masum, whose whereabouts remain unknown, is believed to have connections to the Burnley and Chester areas.

Police have released CCTV images of Masum, depicting him wearing distinctive clothing, including a duffle coat with three large horizontal lines of grey, white, and black, light blue or grey tracksuit bottoms, and maroon trainers.

Witnesses have also reported seeing him in a grey hoodie with the hood up.

DCI Atkinson emphasized the urgency of the situation, urging members of the public not to approach Masum if spotted but instead to immediately contact emergency services.

She further appealed for anyone with information about Masum’s movements since Saturday afternoon to come forward, stressing the importance of cooperation in apprehending the suspect.

The incident, which occurred at the junction of Westgate and Drewton Road at approximately 3:21 pm, has prompted a murder investigation by local authorities.

In two separate murder incidences in London a man has been found stabbed to death near Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and another found unresponsive at 05:51 BST in Northumberland Park in Haringey, north London, said the Met Police.

A murder inquiry is underway in each case.
