Well Wishers Gathered In Numbers To Celebrate Second Royal Wedding

By Lucy Caulkett And James Simons-

Prince Eugene and Jack Brooksbank sealed their marriage with a kiss at Windsor before thousands of fans, family friends, and a global audience.

The newlyweds subsequently took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town as fans waved banners and flags in a congratulatory spirit before attending a reception hosted in their honour by the Queen.

Well-wishers   gathered in  numbers at Windsor  for the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, attended by over 800 guests. Guests included X Factor judges Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field, singer Ellie Goulding and model Cara Delevingne. Thousands of guests had gathered for hours well before dawn to witness the grand ceremony  at St. George’s Chapel inside the castle gates, people were gathering in the narrow flag-festooned streets in front of souvenir shops stuffed with royal wedding knickknacks.

The royal wedding was paid for by the royal family this time after so much fuss made by the anti royal brigade in past times, particularly after the huge amount of public money spent on the wedding of prince Harry and Meghan Merkle earlier in the year. Like Merkle did in her wedding vows to Harry, Eugene made clear she would not be vowing to obey her husband- a sign of modern progression by those who strongly subscribe to equality principles considered  not reflected in Biblical teachings set in patriachal times when the man was said to be the head of the home.

Times have changed since Biblical days, and equality of treatment is now the accepted standard. The assembled guests were excited for the royal couple in an atmosphere filled with unity and celebrations . the Among the guests were Prince Harry and Meghan, who wore a deep navy blue coat-and-dress outfit by Givenchy with a matching fascinator.

Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the bride’s grandparents were also in attendance arrived at the church to a rapturous fanfare in a vigorous atmosphere.

An estimated 1,200 members of the public selected by ballot  observed a live broadcast in the castle grounds. Many royal watchers arrived in the town on Thursday to bag the best spots for the newlyweds’ procession at midday.

The Queen and the royals, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Sussexes  attended the big occasion alongside Eugenie’s proud parents the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York. The Duchess of Cornwall will be absent because of a longstanding prior engagement at a school harvest festival in Scotland. She is not expected to return early enough to attend the wedding.

Among the celebrities expected to share their special day are supermodel Cindy Crawford, David and Victoria Beckham, singer James Blunt and his wife Sofia Wellesley, and George and Amal ClooneyMembers of the Royal Family were also in attendance.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte took the on pageboy and bridesmaid roles.  Bridesmaids of the occasion included Mia Tindall – daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall – Mia’s cousins Savannah and Isla, Eugenie’s goddaughter Maud Windsor and Robbie Williams’ daughter, Theodora.
