Violent Female Charged With Stabbing Boy Over Cheating Allegations

By Sammie Jones-

A 19-year-old woman has been charged with assault and beating  a teenage boy over what started as a cheating allegation.  Leah Christie of Bushfields is accused of stabbing the boy in a violent rage after she and the boy traded words over cheating and other misdemeanours, The Eye Of Media.Com have heard.  The teenager from Loughton will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on September 12.

The stabbing which occurred around 4.20pm on Wednesday July 25  in Mason Way, Waltham Abbey is said to have been done in anger, after she felt threatened he was going to attack. The victim is said to be in a stable condition. An 18-year-old man has previously been charged with wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon and is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on August 28.

Stabbing by a woman is always very shocking, but less so when conducted by a man. This is because women are generally expected to be the weaker gender who are more contained and controlled, but this is not always the case. Women can be driven over the edge by abusive partners, especially men who are physically abusive. There is never an excuse to use a knife on someone, especially when the police can be called, but there are many men who make women feel like informants when they call the police to attend to their violent and oppressive ways.

Exercising restraint is the best way of dealing with controlling and abusive men. Getting family members involved to diffuse the situation is one way of handling such cases, but the police is the safest way of avoiding trouble. Information about what happened is at this point subject to a full court case and cross examination, since only then can all the facts be established.
