A violent Essex father who can’t control his children has been warned by the eye of media.com to fix up and man up to his duties.
53-year-old Eddie Williams has again been accused by his children and the mother of his children of beating up his children and physically attacking their mother in the children’s presence whenever arguments get too heated.
The eye of media.com reported last week on the alarming level of disorder in the Polley family, whose children bar one is pursuing any education. The oldest girl, Chantell Polley, finished secondary school, but herself had spells of absence from school during her secondary school days.
Despite her father being jailed for 8 weeks this year after Cecil Jones school in Essex reported that his children had not attended school for a year, two of their children are still not in education. The children’s mum, Christina Polley also served an 8-week sentence, immediately after Mr.William’s release from jail.
The 14-year-old daughter of the pair has since attended school but did not go beyond the school reception counter, because of her awareness she will be put in an isolated unit to work due to her refusal to wear the school uniform. Authorities from the school have admitted to the girls mother-Christina Polley- that whilst they have their fair share of nuisance children at the school, this teenager is the only student out of their 1200 students who refuses to wear her school uniform. She has not attended class for any consistent period of time since then, and now stays at home where she spends time on facebook and in the company of her other two sisters who also at a home. A family acquaintance of the Polley’s randomly alerted the eye of media.com to the family crisis during the court case in which the parents were sent to jail last summer.
The Polley family agreed to give the eye of media.com access to the occurrences in the family , with a view to documents our findings and propose solutions.one that reveals them to be one of the most dysfunctional families in the UK. They most likely are not the worst conceivable, but they exemplify the typical weak family structure that often destroys the future of teenagers before adulthood. They have a violent father, they are violent themselves, and their mother sometimes engage in violence.

Social services are involved with the family, but a solution for the troubled teenager seems a long shot away.
Upheavals
Upheavals in the family are an almost daily occurrence, with the children often embroiled in raging arguments with each other, or with their parents. There is little restraint in this deeply fractious family, where leadership or direction is none -existent. Christina Polley showed the eye of media.com bruises on her ankles, apparently generated from violent encounters between her children’s father and herself when the heat gets going.
Violent Father Shows Mother No Respect
Crying, she says ”Eddie is the reason my children has no respect for me, he calls me fat cow, and ugly all the time. Whenever by children’s male friends are in the house, he accuses me of wanting to hit on them whenever I go upstairs to have a laugh wit them (engage them in a chat). When I call him names back, he gets violent” . Christina Polley was called a ”fat cow” in our presence, causing her to cry. ”I hate you so much, she told her daughter, you are so embarrassing.
”I hate you too, her daughter replied. You can’t control me, and you should not have had children if you could not handle them, she rudely retorted. Christina Polley told her children that having children for Eddie Williams was her biggest mistake, but her 14-year-old gave a response we won’t want to publish. It suffices to say, it was direct and harsh. Witnessing the exchange was an eye opener into the sort of challenges some parents have in raising rebellious children. Yet, this teenager wastes no time in saying her mother is the reason she is the way she is.
‘However, the mother blames the Essex father, Eddie Williams for her daughters boundless insolence to her mother. ”She talks to me like this because of how she sees Eddie talk to me. These children and Eddie make me feel so low, I have had enough”.
Defending himself, Eddie told the eye of media.com ” when I tell the kids that it’s time for their male guests to go home once it is 11pm, they swear at me and call me all sort of names. They are so out of control. Eddie claims Christina defends the children when he is putting them in their place, leading to physical fights which he alleges she begins.
The children told the eye of media.com that both their parents are responsible for their violent outbursts, which they say start when one of them throws objects at the other. The teenage kids are very drammatic and have given our writers plenty of drama to witness on few occasions they have been there to oversee and counsel the family.
It would make great viewing if filmed, but the family have insisted against any filming, leaving us to at least appreciate the unfettered access we have been given to observe them and make recommendations for progress, all of which we have been permitted to report.
Well, that’s great for us! On Thursday evening, their rebellious 14-year-old daughter smashed her phone when she threw it in anger at her father, Eddie.The Essex father weeps embarrassingly at his lack of control of the situation, as his teenage daughters blatantly cal him a ”wimp”.
A wimp who they say beats them up when we are not there, and beats their mum up too. What an unfortunate set of circumstances! These children evidently need a hard hand, but punching or chucking things at them is not an option. The Essex father promises them £10 each the next day, to appease their anger. The eye of media.com called to confirm that the Essex father actually paid them the £10 each. Despite their complaints about him, they all admit he does he give them some money relatively often. Too soft, if you asked me!
Instructions To Essex Father
Strict instructions have been given to Eddie Williams by the eye of media.com to refrain from engaging in any violence with Christina Polley, or his children, no matter how provocative her outbursts may be. He should find other punitive measures for putting his children straight. The trouble is that when he is angry he lashes out excessively, stooping to their level. It worsens and creates the vicious cycle of violence and dishonour in the teenagers.
The 14-year-old’s elder sister by 2 years, Shannon Polly is in a league of her own when she kicks off. She berates her siblings and parents , speaking at a fast pace, as she bluntly speaks her mind, spewing out obscenities as freely as a rapper. It doesn’t take much to see thaat Shannon could be an actress if she were put in dramma school. However, she wants to go into the fashion industry but is yet to take practical steps in that direction.
The eye of media.com is documenting our observations alongside the accounts we are given during our visits. We have warned Eddie Williams that if he continues to demonstrate violence, our report will constitute an allegation of domestic violence against him. He acknowledges our warnings.
Christina Polley has in turn been told to avoid verbal arguments with Eddie Williams and not to interfere whenever Williams in telling off his children. No matter her personal issues with the father of her children, she must rebuke the children whenever they exhibit unacceptable levels of insolence to their father, and their father must do likewise. Polley says she has refused to involve the police in her husband’s violence because she does not want the children’s father in jail. ”It was bad enough the children seeing their two parents in jail, I don’t want that to happen again”.
Christina Polley’s other two daughters, 16-year-old Shannon Polley and Chantel Polley are not in any education or work, Chantel being the most level-headed and most pleasant of the four girls. The youngest 12-year-old daughter is at Cecil Jones and has been praised by the school for her regular attendance and good behaviour in class.
Eddie Williams and Christina Polley are no longer in a relationship but decided to continue living together for the sake of the children. Polley now wants to move out with the children and is waiting for the council to find her another place. The pair regularly gives their four girls pocket money and puts credit on their mobile phones, though the 14-year-old tear away has been denied phone credit for the past month because of her refusal to go to co-operate with her school.
More needs to be done to address this chaotic state of affairs, social services must buck up their ideas. And we will be keeping a close eye.
