IMG-20160826-WA0001The unisex clothes designer guru, who has made designer clothes for the likes of Kellie Maloney and Heavy D, is a strong advocate for men and women being able to wear the same time of clothes, including nail vanish.
Maloney came out as a transvestite in 2014 after admitting she has felt like a woman trapped in a woman’s body all his life.
Speaking from America to the eye of media.com, Maloney stated:
‘ i think what Clustar fashion is doing is a great thing.
There needs to be more fashion outlets for gender fluid designer clothing. More and more people are becoming accepting of the beauty that can be appreciated in gender fluid clothing”.
Expressing her strong appreciation of her gender fluid creative designs, Lorna Onabanjo added:
” I think it is really sexy when men and women can wear unisex clothing and still feel good. Their confidence shines through it. Society is evolving these days, and I think it is important that people feel comfortable to wear well designed clothing normally expected to be only for the opposite sex”, she told the eye of media.com Will Smith is a big advocate for gender fluid clothing, society make it odd, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with  it ”.
Owner of her own designer brand, Clustar fashion,  the self employed entrepreneur once pitched her talent to the dragon den style panel,  and was awarded  the investment backing of mentoring Fashion and media mogul, Chelsy Baker.

EXPLORATION

Lorna showed her entrepreneurial spirit and passion for fashion and  design  from an early age , making and selling headbands to other children in the school playground. She has been exploring her skills for creative design since she was in primary school at the tender age of 9 years, and has a passion for creative design .
”When I was a child, I used to take left over fabrics from factories and make hand bags and head bubbles and sell in the playground. My mum used to tell me to take the money back. I knew i wanted to be a clothes designer when I grew up”

On leaving school, Lorna put her dreams aside and took a role in the corporate world at T.M Lewin shirts for men. In 2013, she pitched her ambitions to a dragon’s style of people at the excel center and won financial backing , receiving Chelsey Baker as her mentor. In a society where many lack direction and aspirations, it is always refreshing to know that there are many who identify their long term ambition from an early age. It gives them time to nurture their talent and see it develop.

TASTE

unisexClothing design for both male and female gender is not to everybody’s taste in modern society, but nevertheless reflects an incredible amount of creativity and natural talent. It  also serves to challenge stereo types and discriminative practices, as well as  perceptions that often alienate sections of society.
In this modern age of equal opportunities and freedom of expression,  the promotion of individuality has been an ongoing development in recent years.  Dissenting voices are never too far away, expressing their own disapproval of proliferating departures from conventional practices. Freedom of opinion is a fundamental liberty afforded to individual’s of every civil society.
Yet, managing differences in individual ideals is a necessary quality to cultivate, whilst retaining individual thought or voluntarily adopting changing perceptions in many quarters.  Onabanjo is a daring entrepreneur who knows no limits or boundaries in her quest to continue the furtherance of her life long passion.
Last year, she launched four events- one in London, one in Manchester, and two in Essex.
”The events were all successful. People gathered to see the quality of our designs, she said. I invited Ben Tv to cover one of our events in London, as I knew they broadcast to African countries. The footage caused a big back clash, which I enjoyed. They don’t approve of this sort of thing there, so I enjoyed the back clash, she said”.
