Two Charged Over Mosque Hate Crime Against Pedestrians

By Ashley Young-

Police  have charged two men  over a hate crime against pedestrians from a North West London Mosque . Cops were called to the Al-Majlis Al-Hussaini mosque in Oxgate Lane just after midnight on September 19 to reports of a car hitting pedestrians and driving off. On Tuesday, police said three men and a woman were arrested in connection with the incident.

Martin Stokes, 24, Thomas McDonagh, 20, and Michael O’Donnell, 20, were all charged yesterday.

A 17-year-old woman was bailed to return to a police station next month. Stokes appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today charged with Section 18 GBH, aggravated taking a vehicle without consent, causing injury by dangerous driving, driving without a licence or insurance, and racially aggravated harassment with intention to cause alarm or distress.

The offences are crazy and reveal a level of anger and resentment against the Muslim Community by those who irrationally blame them for terrorist offences that has taken place in the Uk and abroad. The stupidity of hate crimes like these is that its perpetrators become even worse than those against whom they object. The element of revenge they seek to execute resonates as madness and serves no efefctive purpose.

McDonagh and O’Donnell are charged with aggravated vehicle taking, vehicle and property damage.

O’Donnell is also charged with tampering with a number plate. Both have been bailed to appear at a magistrates’ court on a date to be confirmed
