Trump: I am no fan Of Meghan Markle And Harry Needs Luck With Her

By Aaron Miller-

President Donald Trump has publicly declared he is not a fan of Meghan Markle , after the Dutchess Of Sussex alongside Prince Harry  recorded a video message indicating support for  Democrat Joe Biden. Trump also said Prince Harry will need all the luck in the world with her.

Speaking from the White House, and in response to a question from a journalist from the Daily Mail Online, Trump said:

‘I’m not a fan of hers,’ he replied to a question posed by DailyMail.com. ‘I would say this – and she has probably heard that – I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he’s going to need it.’

The Duke of Sussex urged people to ‘reject hate speech’ while the Duchess called it the ‘most important election of our lifetime’ in remarks which made waves on both sides of the Atlantic.

The  campaign spokesman for the U.S president, Jason Miller, interpreted Harry’s warning about ‘hate speech’  as an attack on Biden.

‘I’m assuming you’re asking me because of Joe Biden’s record of hateful and divisive language, particularly toward the African American community?’ he responded when asked by DailyMail.com for comment.

He added: ‘I read this as warranted criticism of Joe Biden’s racist policies. He’s the only person I know of who has spoken at a Klan member’s funeral!’ – a reference to Biden’s eulogy for former the late Senate leader Robert C. Byrd, who was a Klan member in West Virginia in the 1940s but later apologized for what he called a ‘sad mistake.’

Influential
Harry and Meghan made their comments in a Time 100 video to go with the publication of this year’s list of the most influential people, a list which excludes the couple, who are nonetheless influential.

‘As we approach this November, it’s vital that we reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity,’ Prince  Harry said. His comments were perceived to be an attack on president Trump, in favour of Democratic nominee, Joe Biden. However, a spokesperson for Prince Harry denied the comments were not relating to

‘The duke was talking about the tone of debate in the run-up to an election which is already quite febrile,’ they said.

‘He is not talking about any candidate or specific campaign. He is building on a lot of stuff that he’s said before about online communities, how we engage with each other online, rather than specifically making any political points’.

Disrepute

Critics believe Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are bringing the tradition of the  Monarchy to disrepute  despite officially leaving the royal family.  Royal aides have also made reference to the couple’s commitment in January to ‘continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty’ after abandoning frontline royal duties.

Good Morning Britain host Piers, 55,  accused the pair of making the “Queen’s life extremely difficult” by getting involved in politics.

Line Crossed

In his column for The Daily Mail, Morgan said :” it’s very obvious from a video message they released last night via Time magazine which way they want the result of the election to go and it’s not in Donald Trump’s direction.

”Although they never mentioned Biden’s name, it is crystal clear whose side they’re on and it’s not the guy sitting in the White House tweeting hateful disingenuous rhetoric 24/7.Meghan Markle Signs Voiceover Deal With Disney To Help The Elephants – Deadline

By expressing themselves in such a brazenly partisan manner, they’ve crossed a massive line which should now have serious consequences for the couple who specialize in wanting their royal cake and the freedom to eat it”

”it’s one of the cast-iron rules of being a member of the Royal Family – that you don’t spout off your own political opinions for public consumption because it would damage the integrity of the Monarchy”. Morgan is not wrong.

The television presenter has made a habit of taking a swipe on Prince Harry and Morgan, often controversially, but not many will argue with Morgan on this occassion.
