Thomas Markle has hand delivered a letter to Oprah Winfrey calling on her to interview him.
Revelation that Mr Markle drove to the chat show host’s home in Montecito, California and gave the note to a member of security, has attracted interest and speculation about the full scale of his plans.
The lighting director wants to tell his side of the story, a month after his daughter Meghan sat down with Oprah. He wants to respond to claims made by his daughter during the globally televised interview.
It is unclear why Mr. Markle did not give his version of the story when he spoke to Good Morning Britain, shortly after Prince Harry and Meghan shocked the world with their bombshells.
He is believed wants to give a broader version of his angle on his daughter’s claims.
Mr Markle said he did not believe the royal family were racist, and said he thinks the question asked in relation to how dark Meghan’s unborn baby would be, was just a dumb question someone asked.
Meghan told Oprah: “When I said we won’t be able to protect our own kids one day and I said: ‘So I just need you to tell me and if you tell me the truth, we can help’.
“He wasn’t able to do that. And that for me has really resonated, especially now as a mother.
“I look at Archie, I think about this child, and I genuinely can’t imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child.”
Oprah asking her to contact him so he could tell his side of the story.
“This was not a note to Meghan and Harry, it was meant for Oprah.
“Thomas watched the interview she did with them and feels he deserves a chance to have his say.”

Mr Markle’s letter to Oprah was revealed by The Sun.
