A 19 year old teenager has been fatally stabbed outside a tower block in Ilford. Police were called to reports of a fight outside Owen Water House, Fullwell Avenue, Ilford, at 10.20pm last night .
Officers found the victim suffering from stab injuries. Attempts to save his life through first aid failed and the victim died at the scene.
The Met Police have yet to inform the victim’s family or make any arrests.
Scotland Yard says it is investigating the possibility a fire at a nearby set of garages at a similar time to the stabbing was linked. An indiscriminate stop and search operation was put in place via a Section 60 order for the whole of Redbridge up until 6.30am this mornin

A Section 60 order – allowing officers to stop and search indiscriminately – was put in in place for the whole of Redbridge up until 6.30am this morning. A burnt out car found close to the scene is being investigated, but cops are not certain whether it has any connection with the fatal stabbing.
