T.I INVOLVED IN NORTH CAROLINA NIGHTCLUB SHOOTING

BY CHEMELLE RICE

Clifford Joseph Harris Jr , also known as the Atlanta Born Rap Phenomenon T.I. was out with his close friend Young Jeezy last weekend unwinding, when a heated situation occurred at a nightclub they were both vacant at. Two people were shot on the premises during the high class party in Charlotte, North Carolina whilst the 34 year old “Live your Life” rapper was drinking it up. The Club named “Label” is part of the popular North Carolina’s Music Group Factory Complex.

The nightclub was hosting a string load of parties to celebrate “The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association basketball tournament” and the night was in fact young when the shooting occurred shortly after the early time of 7 p.m.

Both victims are currently in a good condition considering the circumstances and will thankfully survive the horrific wounds they endured. It’s still unclear as to why the shooting occurred but the police are doing the best they can to solve the disgusting, careless and thoughtless act. The Club was alive and kicking with a wide range of Celebrities at the time, everyone appeared to be having a good time but the night was soon to turn ugly without a warning in site.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in a public news release that they are currently searching for the suspect.

“Preliminary information and evidence gathered on the scene indicates that an unidentified suspect fired several shots from inside the club striking the two victims,” Charlotte police released. “This is an ongoing, active investigation.”

Was this just a random act of violence? Does T.I being there have anything to do with the shootings? Where the bullets meant for him and Young Jezzy? Is someone out for revenge?

We are unaware what other celebs were present at the night, although we are told the 33 year old Memphis born rapper “Yo Gotti” was also present and Despite the Shootings the club did reopen a few hours later for a P. Diddy concert. The club prides itself on its no strict clothes boundaries. Prizing itself on –No Timberland boots –No work boots –No baggy clothes and Baseball caps enabling Label to keep the highest level of appearance. Too busy watching peoples attire and a little less busy checking their pockets.

Label attorney Ken Harris enlightened the public “We feel the security is adequate to avoid an additional incident, and we want to make sure that the patrons enjoy the tournament weekend,” He then went onto add “There is always a very high level of security at Label.”

I must say we disagree with your statement Ken. The questions that spring to my mind are- “How on earth did a gun get past your security guards and protocol, if the security is indeed at a high standard?” Not to mention several empty shells were recovered. So not only did a Gun ghost through your doors but it was also fully loaded!!! How careless to then re-open your doors a few hours later! For everyone’s safety it would have been best too surely remain closed until the next day at least.

Hopefully the vengeful Suspect is caught soon so no further harm can be caused to anyone else.
