Suicide and the problems associated with it

By Eric King-

The problem with suicide is that it creates more problems. Apart from the obvious fact that loved ones are left in an eternal pain of loss, the one taking their own life is waiting it.

There are many reasons people commit suicide. A relative who attempted it last week claims he had simply had enough of life. His girlfriend had dumped him, the mother of his only child would not let him see the child, and he had lost his job.

Oh, big deal! Is this enough reason for one to end their life? A high level of depression usually builds up in the life of the suicidal individual,  but this still cannot excuse the act.
Depression should be fought to the end, not surrendered to. It may be no easy fight, but it is worth the battle.
The problem with suicide is that the self killer shows no regard for their body and life in their pursuit and achievement of termination. They assume that killing themselves will achieve the end objective of bringing finality to their problems.

Rarely do they ever contemplate the pain of the shocking and unimaginable pain the final pain may cause their mind.and body. Take someone who jumps in front of a train for example.
The  resulting death will be almost instant, but there will be a  few seconds for them to feel the excruciating  horrifying pain they have imposed on themselves. They have ignored the nightmares their family members and well wishers will suffer as a consequence of their suicide.
My misguided relative told me depression can get so bad that life isn’t worth living. However, that’s only because the sufferer attaches too much weight to the problem, and too little to the potential solution.
There is no problem without a solution, even where that solution seems out of reach. The problem with suicide is that there is no guarantee one is not creating an even greater problem for themselves in the next life, if there is one.
Many of us have our reservations about whether there is  life after death . We will never know for certain in their life, but it is much better to speculate with skepticism whilst alive than to take a gamble through suicide only to discover another life out there where punishment is terrible for suicide individuals.
Far fetched as this may seem, it is a gamble too great, no suicide killer can afford to take. Personal beliefs or skepticism should become irrelevant in a world and reality of infinite possibilities, both good and bad. The problem with suicide is not knowing exactly what will happen after.
Only a.mentally I’ll person can be excused for suicide, if they actually are disturbed mentally. The question many of us ask is ‘how bad can life get for one to seriously contemplate suicide?
The reasons given to me by my relative sounds like a cop out! He tried to cut himself close to his wrist but was stopped by his cousin who stepped in on time. One question worth asking is whether some suicidal people do it for attention more than the problems they actually are facing.
After all, there are quicker ways to guarantee a suicide than cutting ones forearms or wrists. No suggestions will be made here about quicker methods for suicide. The main problem with suicide is that it does not solve the problem.
