By Charlotte Webster-

Speculation continues to mount as to the location of I’m A Celeb this year, following a circulating rumours.

The show which has been filmed in the Australian jungle, has announced a change of its venue without quite specifying where it would take place.

Rumours that a popular TV reality show is set to be filmed in North Wales  got fans of the celebrity show guessing about its venue, but Itv has stopped short of revealing the precise location of this year’s filming .

The show which features celebrities in the Uk and abroad, isolates them in a jungle away from family and friends for a period of time, where there are set certain tasks. The tasks can be very demanding and sometimes uncomfortable, but makes for engaging television viewing.

Manorafon Farm Park in Abergele revealed it has “very recently” been approached to provide an unnamed organisation with exclusive use of the site for two months during September and October.

The family attraction  normally affords visitors the chance to interact with a number of farm yard animals as well as reptiles such as snakes and cockroaches.

Manorafon did not specify who they had struck a deal with – or for what project – the news has added fuel to the fire about the possibility of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here being filmed in the area.

Most people believe it will be filmed at Gwrych Castle in Abergele following an announcement earlier today(Friday) that it will be unexpectedly closing to the public later this wee

This comes as the heritage site posted an update on Twitter, saying: “Gwrych Castle and Estate will be temporarily closing to the public at 5pm on Sunday 23rd August until New Year. Keep checking our website and social media for updates.”

Today, ITV confirmed the show would be filmed at a ‘ruined castle’.They tweeted: “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! moves to UK for 2020.

“ITV announced today that the 20th series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will be filmed in the UK.

“The show will be broadcast live every night from a ruined castle in the countryside. We’re excited…are you?”

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and despite us looking at many different contingencies, it became apparent that it just wasn’t possible for us to travel and make the show there.

“However, we are all really excited about a UK version of I’m A Celebrity. While it will certainly be different producing the show from the UK, the same tone and feel will remain.

“Our celebrities will probably have to swap shorts for thermals but they can still look forward to a basic diet of rice and beans and plenty of thrills and surprises along the way”
